State of the Comic

So Smackjeeves has royally fucked me. I knew they were getting rid of custom pages, but apparently they've shrank all of my comics so they're almost unreadable. And on top of that, despite being one of the top comics on the site for the last 3 or 4 years, I'm now completely invisible on there, AND my URL and site statistics have been bleached.

I'm going to be spending the day attempting to migrate over to ComicFury. This has well and truly kicked me square in the asshole. I don't have time to go over all the particulars, so I'll let Paul Heyman do it for me.

Same thing happened to my comic -- one of my readers said it best, "you got smacked in the jeeves, my friend," but I had some of my own choice words when I found out. NO notification at all! At least they refunded my subscription! I decided to build my own website, but I've got 10 years worth of material that I am slowly uploading (after spending hours trying to figure out Wordpress, ComicPress and ComicEasel, ugh...still got a lot of work to do). Sucks... I think ComicFury is a great option otherwise.

Making my own website is definitely going to happen. But it'll take a while. In the meantime, ComicFury will be the replacement.

i know you said before you need your own website or you should make your own website. i feel like this might be a good time to attempt making one plus that would give you complete creativity over it too.

Discreetly Working

A lot of artists have already migrated to CF. I read a lot of comics there and you can really customize your layout. The site owner is on the ball, IMO. Good luck!

Nope, it was just smackjeeves, and to an extent Tumblr before I had to leave there as well. Most sites make uploading stuff a pain in the ass, because they're assuming you're only going to have one piece of art a week or so. That's what's kept me from making an archive on Deviantart or Newgrounds or something.

I guess that explains why it wasn't working this morning. Hopefully, your migration to ComicFury goes smoothly. By chance is there another place you have all your comics up? Fars as I can tell I think here on your Patreon, the oldest page starts somewhere in volume 2, at least according to the archive list in Smackjeeves. I only started recently and I was still on the first volume. Also, keep up the great work.
