When we said we had big plans for 2019...
we meant it.
The election period is always a busy time for us - so this year we're trying something a little different. If everything goes to plan, we will be releasing three new videos per week. Yes, you heard that right, THREE.
We have used your generous Patreon donations to help purchase a microphone, light and a new computer. This will allow us to produce higher quality content more frequently. The video we just uploaded to YouTube entitled 'How Aussie Media Works' is an example of the new style. We will still be releasing fully scripted, classic-style Jordies videos as well - we're just increasing the amount of content we're pumping out overall.
Some videos will be political. Some videos will just be made to give you a laugh. Either way, the videos are filmed, edited and uploaded in a single day - which will allow us to stay super current and an top of things.
In terms of how this will work for charging you legends for videos - we will never charge for more than one video per week. We're still in the nascent stages of PHASE 3 right now, but our plan is to release a video on Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week. One of those videos each week will be released through Early Access on Patreon for you awesome subscribers - and that will be the video that'll be charged. Hope that makes sense :)

The reason I think it's silly to label yourself as anything is for the pure fact that it's lazy. I can guarantee you you'd find things that "feminist" writers write that you disagree with and I can guarantee you you'll find things with "conservative" writers you agree with. On top of that it's just something people like to hide behind to wave a banner. So for example if you're talking about "feminists" it includes everyone whose as intellectually sharp and honest as Amy Goodman and Camile Paglia allllll the way down to corporate opportunist hacks like Lisa Wilkinson and Clemintine Ford. If you say you're a conservative that includes everyone from intellects like William F Buckley all the way down to cheap propagandists like Hannity. In essence these labels are designed for lazy thinkers. Its for people who don't read specifics and just want to get happy claps from a certain crowd but in reality these labels are redundant. For instance Fox News considders itself "right wing" yet it supports tarrifs on companies that leave the US and the cyber security act and the bail outs (under Bush anyway) so is it really right wing? No, it's a news outlet that is propaganda for the republican party. It's the same with all these "political tags" in the real world they are meaningless and contradict themselves constantly. They are there so people don't look into policy and make up their own minds on specific issues.

Just before I launch in to my wall of text, sorry to be such a demanding patron, lol. I understand if there isn't time to give this a fleshed out response. Okay, so, in the new vid you make a point around 4:00 that it's not specific enough to proclaim yourself to be a conservative or feminist. In regards to feminist, I've been doing some entry level reading on feminism recently and I don't see an issue with self-labeling as a feminist (or someone with feminist beliefs). I know there's different strands within feminist thought, which I think you'd be familiar with, but for the sake of clarity: radical, Marxist, socialist, liberal etc. I realise there is a lot of differences between those schools of thought, but they do still fit under the feminist banner of promoting women's rights, gender equality etc. What particularly do you (or your team) see as vague about labeling yourself as feminist? I don't know much about conservatism, but I do find it useful label. It helps me to under what the Liberals' values are, i.e. a mixture of conservative/liberal (even if they contradict themselves). It might be an oversimplification, but for my understanding it has helped me to grasp what they are about. If that's totally wrong, then how is it wrong? I don't get it :( please help Sorry for the long post! I am very keen to understand this better.
