Clive Palmer is vying for a political comeback and he's taken a page or two from Donald Trump's playbook. With billboards on every street corner and ads on every screen, Clive is going all-out to sell himself as the man-of-the-people in Australian politics. Surely this homegrown bootleg billionaire is harmless, right?
We're here with a quick refresher on why Australia's fattest meme-lord is not as innocuous as he may want you to believe. Rather than the breath of fresh air he purports to be, Clive's history suggests otherwise - both in parliament and out. From exploiting countless of his own workers to selling out the country to foreign influences... you'd best think twice before getting behind this Tim-Tam enthusiast.
With that being said, his advertising is effectively targeted. I mean, he's offering 300km/h trains out of Wollongong. Getting the hell out of Wollongong as quickly as possible has got to be the best political platform I've ever heard of.
