The Project: A Journalistic Farce

[Early Access]

Last week's Ja Rule's was obviously divisive. This week's target is The Project - which is something we can ALL get behind.

The Project would have you believe that the 'freedom of the press' is under threat because of an AFP raid conducted a few weeks ago. The government intervening in journalistic activities like this in such a brazen way is obviously an issue, but to say that this is one of the main problems regarding journalism in Australia today is a joke.

The mainstream media is host to a LAUNDRY list of problems, which is something we here at Friendlyjordies have tried time and time again to draw attention to. A single event like this pales in comparison to the countless fundamental issues plaguing modern journalism.

As always, thank you all so much for your continued support of our channel! Through thick and thin, we love you.

Have a great weekend!

thank you. It highlights the smugness, dishonesty of much of the media. it is just a PR bs, an extension of the corporate sector. A lot of the media, like the Project and Murdoch press, is not exactly thought-provoking either.

Journalism degrees (anecdotally) don't train us for this. When I did mine we were taught Chomsky. We were introduced to the Australian media landscape and the Liberal shitshow that kept making it worse... which is probably why only 1 of 20 something students bothered to pursue a career in journalism.

Thank you FJ’s. Brilliant vid, Australia’s journalism reflects the warped model of democracy that News Corp allows the countries it has a vested interest in to have. Chomsky is essential reading.

Manufacturing consent isn't an easy read but it's absolutely the most important book I've ever read. I didn't know there was a doco. I'll give that was watch as a refresher

They are a bunch of corporate shills after all
