Australia is literally on fire.
People have died. Homes lost. Habitats destroyed.
Obviously it's entirely the fault of inner city greenies... Yeah fucking right.
People in the Rural Fire Service and former Fire & Rescue chiefs have been warning politicians for years about the inevitability of a crisis such as the one we're currently experiencing. And what did the NSW Liberals do?
Cut funding to rural fire services by 70%.
What did the federal Liberals do?
Give drought relief funding to private schools and their constituents.
For so many reasons this situation has been an unmitigated disaster. Australia has hit a new low.
The only shining light in this cesspit of political corruption are the brave men and women of the Rural Fire Service and Fire & Rescue who are fighting day and night (with diminished resources) to save the people and country they love. They are absolute heroes and they deserve your support.
