Hello Patrons,
When it comes to hate-speech laws, who really wins? This video is about section 18c of the racial discrimination act and how it is being used by the zionist federation of Australia to silence journalist Mary Kostakidis.
This video is on a touchy subject and some of the jokes in it are particularly spicy so let us know what you think. We've censored it more than usual but it's still under review by YouTube, hopefully it's ready to go for tomorrow's release. We're still deciding on a name so let us know in the comments if you have any ideas!
We're still watching the poll results but already have an NDIS and another Queensland video in the works, expect to see both of those in about a week!

Tricky one. Words certainly have the power to do a great deal of damage and there needs to be some recourse against people spewing truly hateful and violent speech. At the same time there's no doubt in my mind that the 47 year old recently naturalised woman from from Pakistan who gets yelled at and abused in the train certainly ain't gonna be the one using these laws. I totally agree that in the vast majority of cases it's gonna be butthurt politicians and elites having a cry.

Police and government officials have way too much power over citizens, just to not challenge laws or coppers in public. We should have our own Bill of Rights, just like America has but in-touch with reality and not koo-koo nut brain! Top end people here should not tell us how to live, or feel towards others with “school playground” shit!

Second, races do not exist, so there should be zero legislation differentiating people, as it's literally discrimination. The state has no right to police feelings. Hate speech is basically thought crime.

As someone who recently discovered the show and feel it accurately represents my experience of working in government funded projects, I expect an apology or else I'll sue you under 18c. I thought the rest of the video was excellent and hilarious.

2024-09-01 08:26:16 +0000 UTCThis is certainly going to start some “discourse” online. I worry a lot of it will be clip chimping of Jordie going “look what a racist he is”. Also, I think a lot of people are going to try to take the position “18C is needed but it’s bad that people are abusing it … also Jordan’s a racist.” Also, there will be the typical “looks like Jordan is taking up old Liberal policy positions” and point to when the Liberals tried and failed to repeal 18C. Although, it will be interesting to see all the people online try to reconcile their love of 18C against the abuse Zionist groups are doing with it. The 18C rule is one of the things I’ve always personally argued with myself about. Free speech is important for a free society. Although, it is always hard to side with Pauline Hanson on anything. Giving the “go back to where you came from” crowd a win is not something that sits comfortably with me. I imagine that will be the same for a lot of people who engage with politics on an immediate gut feeling rather than thinking it through. In short, I don’t know how this would play out. However, I doubt Labor would touch this issue. Especially since the government wants to keep culture war issues out of the public eye and focus on cost-of-living and the economy. It will be funny if people see this video and come down to “Albo won’t repeal 18C because he hates Palestinians!”. Excited to see how this plays out.
