Denmark's Forest Children

Definitely, as long as i was affordable-I haven't checked out the prices here. I think its an environment he wouldve thrived in and helped burn off the excess energy he had. He's done great at normal school like but I think its something he would have done so much better with

I also said it felt a little sales pitchy and that I’d want to do a little more of my own research on it. When I looked a little into it, it was crazy expensive (like $1000 per week). It’s awesome that there are so many over that way, that hopefully means the costs there aren’t as crazy since there are more of them. If Shane were younger, do you think it’s something you’d try?

Update: Downsides seem to include: potential injury, cost of the school, cost of clothing and equipment for the school, tick checks on the child, if the school has high staff turnover it might be a bad school, might not have a kid who likes the outdoors, may be wholly unsuitable for kids who have limiting disabilities Positives include: teaches kids risk, gives kids a healthy lifestyle, gives kids appreciation for outdoors, improves kids social skills, improves kids motor skills, seems to make kids more relaxed in general due to regular burn off of energy, improves cognitive development

Great video guys, completely alien concept to me so this was educational. I wonder how commonplace this is and how long its been going, only met a couple of Danish people in real life but those few were fiercely intelligent. One of the questions I had they answered, around adapting to 'normal' classrooms or workplaces. My only criticism of the source material in itself was it came off a little bit like a sales pitch, so i'd be interested in my own time to look into the downsides of these forest kindergartens from a neutral source for the sake of balance, but on the face of it they seem a good idea to me.
