I find the attitude of those people baffling; one of the selling points of the channel is that you are learning, and you can only learn by asking? It would be a dull channel if you knew everything and was just nodding "Yep, heard this loads, yep know all about this" 😁 As well I think if the shoe was on the other foot and they were put on the spot and asked, oh I don't know, what's the stadium name that the 49ers play in or who was in Them Crooked Vultures that was also in Queens of the Stone Age or something they would have no clue. Unfortunately you get show-off jobsworths in all walks of life who show their ignorance by trying to project it on others, instead of encouraging people that have an interest in broadening their horizons

We very well could end up recognizing some of their stuff if we heard it, not knowing it was theirs. People have mentioned that it’s their song in the info of Guardians of the Galaxy and we definitely recognize that from there. I’m glad you made that comment. A lot of people have acted like we’re monsters for not knowing them. Our moms didn’t listen to them, so we were never introduced to them. Also born in 89 and 91. We certainly were not kids and teenagers seeking this type of music haha. Thank you. We were pretty sure it was in London, but not 100% sure. We’re not really into sports so that connection wasn’t there for us. Another thing people have acted like we’re monsters for not knowing. Go figure.

2025-04-05 01:21:47 +0000 UTCA couple of Tube Connoisseurs, as I live and breathe! This is not a cover, this is an ELO original. They did quite a few good songs actually. You may also remember Jeff Lynne, the lead singer, as one of the Travelling Wilberries. I know them from my Dad, so although I was born in 89 I grew up listening to them - I don't think I would have ever found them or gave them a chance without that Wembley is in London - its the home stadium of the English national Football team, but also houses huge gigs, as well as english football cup finals, like the FA Cup final.
