Alright guys, we’ve got some pretty cool merch ideas in the works and will be working on that over the next few weeks and hopefully be rolling it all out shortly after. We will go more into details on that as we get closer to having it all finished.

As most of you know, our Patreon account is very new, so we are learning the ins and outs of it. It may take us a little bit of time to work out all the kinks and find everything it has to offer. Patreon’s premise is simple: creators offer content, services, or products, and patrons pay for them. We want your experience as a patron to help us make this the be the best it can be, so we are looking into some more perks for you all. We’ve got a few ideas up our sleeves, but would like to hear directly from the ones supporting us. Yes, we can look at other people’s Patreon’s, but we don’t want to be like everyone else. So aside from the things we’ve already promised to offer, are there any certain things you would like to see or have offered to you? What’s working for you, and what isn’t. Any feedback you have would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys!

Yes I agree!! ALL of our videos are going on patreon first. As soon as we get them back from our editor!

Sorry, one other comment from me, that I just realised. Theres a few reactors out there with Patreons that post one or two things every week... but then post several things on YouTube and nothing on Patreon. It's like " what is the point of paying for Patreon membership?"

I completely understand what you mean. We’ve got many flaws, but one thing we pride ourselves on is being as genuinely authentic as possible. I made that a requirement with Stephen before taking the job haha. I told him I never wanted to become that channel that acts fake or pretends to be someone else, or pretends to have never heard or seen something they have before, no matter how good it may do for our views and money. He agreed. And even though our personalities aren’t for everyone (maybe especially not for British ha), the way we see it is…. If we’re not for you, you’re not for us either, because one thing we will always do on our channel is remain true to who we are. Sure, we take the goofy down a couple notches sometimes. But if we absolutely hated something, we will not pretend like we loved it. We’ve gotten a lot of negative comments in the past for being open about not liking something. Stephen a little more blunt and vocal about it, so I try to smoothe things over a bit by being less brash about it and will say something like, “it was fun to check out, but not really my thing”. We try and choose our battles in the comment section as well. Once in a while we get ones that really heat us up and we pop off back, but usually we just don’t respond, or do something passive aggressive like a 👍🏻 or leave a sarcastic comment. But we try to smooth things over when needed too, especially if we were wrong about something. It is very hard choosing what content to react to. It is true that reactors are doing the same videos out there. It’s because they’re proven to (usually) do well. YouTube is a business, or side-business for 99% of people who do it, so unfortunately you have to go where the money is. I also hate doing videos everyone else is doing, and I whine to Stephen about it occasionally. (He can attest to that - drives him crazy, because then he has to explain again WHY we do it, and even though I understand it I don’t necessarily agree with it). Occasionally I’ll get him to do a video that either didn’t do well for anyone else, or that just hasn’t been done at all. But, doing that is hard on the channel because then the algorithm can (and usually does) get off and when you get back to your “regular” stuff, it doesn’t know who to push out your content to, and your channel takes a dip. Since I’m a stay at home mom now, and we moved to Florida to take care of his mom (who is recovering from cancer, but still far from in the clear), this channel has morphed from a hobby to something we needed the extra income for, so we do need to unfortunately do a lot of things that have probably been seen a few times before. We sometimes are really good about getting a video out before it’s been done by more than 1-2 other people, but less so now with our recording sessions being so sporadic with our schedules. Hopefully soon we will be back to normal on that and can get out some fresh content for everyone.

Jason & Ryan both make very good points. Piggy-backing on Jasons point; I think we all generally sign up to channels because we like the personalities running them. You guys do a great job of showcasing your personalities (as do Mike an Jess, TheeLitOne etc does too) and I look forward to seeing more of it. If I was running a channel and became popular, I personally would find it hard not to placate the audience but in doing that you water down your Unique Selling Point. Probably has to be some balance between placating the viewers and staying yourself of course. I also dont mind seeing 'negative' reactions to things, its not something you see often, which I understand, but personally I wouldnt mind seeing a reaction where you're like "I didnt like that" or "I didnt really get that" and the reasons why I understand the point of not reacting to the same things other people are reacting to, but I think thats a necessary evil too- these reactions are popular for a reason but it is a good point well made, we could certainly see that these are interspersed with the less common ones
