Okay so youβre telling me to move to France. π Oh god, I think that would be enough to put me off. Not forever, but in that moment at least.

2025-04-28 16:54:27 +0000 UTCI work with a couple French guys and one told me it was completely normal to get wine at their school and their teachers would often have a glass on their table in the afternoon. It's funny how different cultures can be. Our school dinners in the UK were quite famously shit. One classic moment of British TV was Jamie Oliver trying to demonstrate to kids how awful chicken nuggets are. He was blending the skin etc in front of them, then shaped them, cooked them and asked who would still eat them and all the kids raised their hands.

I remember once asking for my plate of chips and seeing a rat running round the kitchen behind, when I pointed it out the only response was "Oh he's back?" π¬ Still ate my chips though. The straw that broke the camels back was when one of the former students started working in the kitchen. This lad had been caught twice, err, choking the chicken. Once in the toilets and once IN THE MIDDLE OF ASSEMBLY. I couldnt face him handling my food, no thanks
