Why Is Football Called Soccer In The USA?

This should never be a debate. It's Football, it was invented in England and the World Company associated "FIFA" is Football. Soccer is not a thing other than countries trying to change it. It's Football.

As opposed to the other popular sport amongst the elite at the time, polo, where you play on horseback. Horseball vs football.
