7 Days In Norfolk, UK Reaction

I wouldn't say Great Yarmouth's that nice to be honest. Far better British seaside towns to visit.

I had a one bedroom mid-terrace cottage in Gorleston-on-sea, only 2min walk from the beach. It was nice But if I could of afforded to buy in Wells-next-the-sea I would have done.

I would say Wells-next-the-sea has the nicest beach in Norfolk.

I lived in Gorleston-on-sea for 18months. It's basically Great Yarmouth's quieter neighbour, just the other side of the river. I've pretty much visited all the places in this vid.

I concur...

I am actually heading out on the broads tomorrow for the day, mother in laws birthday gift.. I used to live on the broads in a narrow boat. You can hire family boats for a week or so for about $700-$1000 depending on the season, September is late season. A great way to explore. You guys can hire a family boat each.. It's only a few feet deep and all safety gear is provided.. Richardson's Boat hire in Stalhams Classic range is my favourite.. https://www.richardsonsboatingholidays.co.uk/search-results/?type=classic-fleet I would highly recommend it, only an hour and a half north of London and with Ancient cities like Ely and Cambridge, Norwich and the romantic Suffolk coastal towns near by. Most UK vloggers go west to Cornwall or Bath and the Cotswolds... as beautiful as they are, very expensive in comparison. If you need a tour guide for the Broads.. look no further.. 😁🛥️

Museums will get a lot more donations and grants, it depends on the scale of the museum - so some local museums won’t be free but larger ones will be. It depends on its cultural significance I suppsoe

What a lovely video to react to! I've not had the chance to visit Norfolk myself but it looks beautiful! Great Yarmouth really looks quintessential British seaside holiday - sand castles, rock, amusements and fish and chips

Waves generally will be quite mild on the east coast of Great Britain as you've got landmass - the rest of Europe, that mostly stops any swells forming decent waves, the north sea is calmer in that sense. The the UK as a whole, Fistral beach, Newquay (south west) is usually considered the best surfing spot. There's other spots but often they're less consistent and still mostly on the west. So swells coming from the Atlantic and being the right angle. Most beaches are child friendly, it's probably the temperature of the water more likely to put them off.

Devon and Cornwall in the southwest is where you go to surf in England - this is the North Sea here (although specifically that particular part where you commented is The Wash which is a bay and estuary system) You might have had recommendations for Alan Partridge, who’s an iconic comedy character associated with Norfolk - so I can’t hear some of these places without thinking of Alan 😂

Caravans can be surprisingly expensive unless you go outside of the school holidays. I quite like staying in caravans there is a good site in Mundesley in Norfolk we go every December because we go on a Santa steam train with the kids not far from there in Sheringham. You can get bigger caravans for more people or they usually have lodges that’ll fit 6-8 people

Anyone can rent a boat on the Norfolk broads and you dont have anyone with you when you go exploring. I've hired a live-aboard boat for a week a couple of times over the years, and it is one of the most tranquil peaceful holiday's ever 😊
