A pretty horrible day

Hey Laowinners,

We finally made it home after a night of scares. Lucia had a 104 degree + fever and the urgent care clinic pushed us to the ER because of her constant and high fever with no other symptoms. Really appreciate the health care system here because they tested for everything and were attentive and knowledgeable. Seeing people brought in in handcuffs and screaming from withdrawal was another story though. Olivia was pretty scared at the profanity and shrill shrieks of people in pain.

Long story short, Lucia most likely has hand foot and mouth disease, which makes us feel a little better, only because we’ve dealt with that before with Olivia.

I’m sure we will be up all night with her, as we have to make sure she’s not going into seizures. She was such a good girl, both of them actually. Olivia made lots of friends at the hospital, and was teaching some sweet Mexican boys Chinese and they taught her Spanish.
