Hey Laowinners!

The picture above is an app that will tell you how many cigarette equivalent of pollution you "smoked" on any given day in your city in China. I doubt the accuracy, but thought it was fun.

First of all, much thanks is in order for ALL OF YOU for this Thanksgiving.
The family and I, along with Winston went to Arizona to a friends house for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a lovely time, and Vivi finally got to see what Thanksgiving was all about. She liked the turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie quite a lot! Thanks to Dan for hosting us!

I have been reading quite a bit about how pollution in China is getting bad again. It's quite strange since the reports all over Chinese and western media keeps lauding China as the new "green country", and leader in green technology. If that is true, I am curious as to why pictures like this keep getting posted.

This is in Suzhou, is south eastern China.

I've noticed that upon coming back to the USA, I started coughing after exercise, and I assume my body is starting to reject all of the crap air I have been breathing for 10 years. Where I live in Guangdong, the pollution is much better than the rest of the country, but a good day in Guangdong is still worse than LA on its worst day.
