Hey Laowinners!
While editing tomorrows release, "What Words are Censored in China?", I remembered that when filming it, there was a MASSIVE party in the streets, mostly comprised of elderly people rocking the hell out. Vivi and I were confused when we saw that some of these singers had a huge fan base, and personalized lit up signs with the singers name on it.
There was no mention of this happening, but we had never seen so many people on one street. It was actually difficult to move around. Turns out, the seedy/older area of Mong Kok in Hong Kong has its own street parties, along with singers that are famous to only that area.
It was so much fun to see loyal fans coming out to see their favorite elderly singer jam out to KTV in the middle of the road at 10 PM. What a blast.
I hope all of you are doing awesome, and having a great week. Thank you for all of your support. Vivi and I (and Olivia) appreciate each and every one of you. As always, $1`0+ get extra posts on Friday, and I answer your questions in the inbox every single week day.
