I couldn't sleep well last night after receiving this pop up message while watching a podcast on YouTube before bed. I want to detail what happened so that we have a record here.

This is the first time I have ever received a warning (that's what happens before a strike), and wanted to know why, so I dug a little deeper to review what piece of content was removed.

Couldn't tell which video yet, but now I could see that a video I made was removed for harassment and bullying. Wracking my brain, I wondered, "I've never made anything that would constitute either of those things".

Turns out, it was a video called "The Death of Reality in China".
Here is a backup of the video ( https://odysee.com/@laowhy86:e/the-death-of-reality-in-china:b?r=2R5MD4fZipnT7Yu1RLixbFVorQjZ8Gfw )
This was a video about how it's unfair that Chinese people are not given a voice due to censorship and oppression, and how the west often champions the CCP for the wrong things. There is NO harassment and NO bullying. It's simply a commentary.

I submitted an appeal saying this - "There is literally no cyber bullying or harassment in this video. In fact, this is a video criticizing people who think that Chinese people don't deserve a voice or to be on social media. This is a video promoting the human rights of victims of authoritarianism. Removing this video and claiming that is in violation is an egregious error. Please rectify this immediately."
This is worrying, because if you really compare it to any other content, this is very mild. There's nothing I can see that could be construed as either of these violations.
If you get the chance, and want to see the video that was removed, it's backed up here - https://odysee.com/@laowhy86:e/the-death-of-reality-in-china:b?r=2R5MD4fZipnT7Yu1RLixbFVorQjZ8Gfw
I will let you know what happens with the appeal, but this is very worrying since it was not AI or algorithms that did this. Someone physically at YouTube did this, and believed in what they did.
Thank you all for your continued support!
