The War is Already Here - China Creating Fissures in the US Political Climate

I'll try to avoid saying a lot of what should be said, but I find trump despicable, and your compliment for him standing up to China erroneous. Go look at his tweet early in the Covid crisis praising China's dictator for his great and transparent response to the virus. Just running around later calling it 'the kung-flu' was not good leadership.

I think Laowhy86 and SerpentZA are great resources on China, and have shown a lot of integrity on it. I've learned a lot about China from them. (How do you use paragraphs in this). But I disagree with Laowhy86 and have some concern about one area. They - mostly Laowhy86 - seem to be concerned about 'marketing' issues in not wanting to alienate 'either side' of US politics, to appeal to both, and it leads to a lot of false equivalencies and claims to be 'centrists'. But I think it's resulting in a lot of misrepresenting the US left - ironically, because the same things he debunks about the CCP, he commits about the US left. I support progressive politics and am pretty familiar with it, and I think Laowhy86's statements about the left are very wrong. I don't recognize his description at all. I disagree with nearly everything he says 'the left' says, and I agree with everything I saw him say about China. If concerns about wanting not to alienate any viewers by being positive about a 'side' in the US leads him to create straw men misrepresenting the views of a 'side' and call it 'extremist', that's a problem just like the CCP shills he debunks are a problem. This is a great video - about China. Not about the 'US left'.

Sorry, Kultured - I'm a Never Trumper. Normally and otherwise an Independent. No fondness for Biden, but. I do hope without much promise that both parties run more sensible candidates in 2024. I remind you there are a lot of ugly truths about Trump.
