Something completely new for VR fans.
(Don't use the above 360° image, it will look terrible, you must download from the link below, the orig. image is 10 000 x 10 000 pixel, 50 MB)
A 360° Stereoscopic 3D image in near HQ render quality. I'm still tweaking the render settings to find a compromise between render time and quality. A time intensive undertaking, each eye needs about 1 hour render time. A pity the software doesn't allow 180° renderings.
Some time later I will also try this in the game engine, game engines renderings are much faster, but usually just look good on moving pictures, not stills.
In the images above you see a scene overview. Plus 2 pics what you can expect in the stereoscopic 3D view with VR headset. The star in 1 pic shows your position between the 3 girls at about standing eye level.
With a VR player / viewer like "Whirligig" you can change your position within a 1 meter border up and down, left / right and forward / backward.
Tell me your thoughts on this and if you have ideas or wishes for a scene. One idea already, to position the camera on a guy body, so you can look down on "yourself" and compare to the muscle girls. ;-)
