[Live Stages] Super Junior - SUPERMAN SS4 (Live Ver.)

As per request of my Patron 42ariadna, I now check out my first ever Super Junior live stage - Superman @ SS4 Live!

This was... something else. They're clearly in their own world and on another level. What a great and confident performance that was. And the way they came out? oof.. it reminded me of my past concert experiences so much

Is Super Junior always this clean on stage? That could be dangerous for me..

Lol.. "of this sage". That almost makes it sound like Super Junior's journey is some kinda fairytale haha. I have heard about it by now yea. I'm not sure if it will happen to me as well yet, because both Donghae and Eunhyuk are people I'm not confident in yet - neither of them. So we'll have to see with time

Just to clarify, and you might already have found this out, but it's not Donghae and Eunhyuk people get confused, it's Eunhyuk and Leeteuk, lol. It started when a news outlet was talking about an event that Leeteuk went to, but they used a picture of Eunhyuk, and since then people have been noticing that they continue to get confused with each other. It's not that they look alike either, it's just that their build is very similar and they carry themselves the same. Even to this day it still happens. There is a video compilation on youtube of this sage and it's hilarious.

I've actually gone to a lot of concerts of people I'm not a fan of, mostly because a family member or a friend wanted to go and didn't want to go alone. I've always enjoyed myself in those. It's the thing about being with a bunch of people that are excited to be there, it's contagious. I don't know how we'll get that back without being awkward or paranoid, but I hope at some point we do. Finding balance in what you do is important. It’s totally OK if you only react to a handful of live performances from time to time, I get it. I WILL continue to rec you Suju live stuff, though. I’ll mix it up with Epik High too ;) Yes, Henry is one of the +2. On the anniversary event last November he hung with them backstage, it was very sweet. The other is Zhoumi, he released a song with Ryeowook last year. The thing with Suju is, every member, past and present, is very different personality-wise, and all of them have their own projects and interests they focus on, so they’ve managed to stablish themselves as individual artists and businessmen in the industry and outside of it, and they still work together as Suju. That’s the hope for all the younger groups and their fans, I’m sure.

Hey there :) So that was a long comment.. Lemme see how I will order this. I agree with your part about the concerts. At the start of the concert you might still feel a bit freezed up and weird being in a huge blob of strangers and everybody is screaming but you seen realize you are all the same and fans of the same artist and that unites you with these people. Granted, I have only been in standing areas so idk how it is in sitting ones where there actually might be more people that just went to the concert cus they were cuious and only got some cheaper tickets, so they might not necessarily be diehard fans, but yea.. maybe that's not as much a thing as I think it is? I wanna watch as many live stages as possible but I also don't have unlimited amounts of time so.. I wish I had. I wish I could just go full-time with youtube and Patreon and do all that. But I can't. I am more than happy if I will be able to manage YouTube, Patreon, School/University and private life at the same time on a level where I'm at right now. If I had the opportunity one day to go full-time with YT/PT then I'll also change some stuff on Patreon and make much more videos. Until that hapens tho, I just can't T_T Controlled Chaos, I think that's a good term for what you are describing about SuJu. It seems really genuine and wholesome and I like that when I can observe that about artists. They are legendary enough, they don't have to pull off every move 100% anymore. Hell, if they mess up and improvise well that's probably even better and more fun. Being in such a position as an artist and having the luxury of doing that is amazing and then you know that you made it. Thanks for explaining the 13+2 thingy, I'll try to keep it in mind. Was Henry one of those +2?

Lmaooo, that sounds like a fantastic moment.

You went on two tangents there very different from one another. I'm with you on the missing concerts front. Before the pandemic I used to go to concerts around five times a year, more or less. It's such a great feeling being in a huge crowd of people enjoying the same thing, singing and dancing and having fun. I do hope we can have that again at some point. Also, I think you need to watch more live performances. It’s not a substitute for the real thing but you clearly enjoy watching them. I know you have rules to not react to this stuff in YT and you can’t just react to stuff on Patreon, but I do hope you’ll do It more often now. I will keep reccing you Suju live stuff. Regarding your other unfinish tangent, you made me feel old XD I don’t consider the stuff that older kpop groups releases as “old music”, but I am older, so there’s that lol I do think the debate should be whether the music is dated or not. If you can listen to old music and enjoy it, because it can still speak to you and you can still have fun with it, then that’s perfect. That’s the one thing you can’t know from the younger groups, if their music is gonna work for you in the long run. Regarding Suju… I don’t know how to respond to the “clean” question. Suju is so messy and chaotic... well, it’s synchronized chaos, actually. Like, they figure out where one is going so they follow on whatever the hell that one decided to do. It’s what make them so good at variety shows. I hope this makes you more interested in reacting to KRY’s live version of Sorry Sorry Answer! I think the video of Changmin with Suju you probably watched was probably from a SMTown concert, all of them singing Don’t Don’s remix version. Changmin’s voice in that song was very impressive, but personally I didn’t like the edit and camera work for that performance. We all wished TVXQ and Suju worked together more (they’re all very close, Suju like to make fun of Yunho to make him relax and Changmin never stops laughing when he’s with them). The thing with the number 13 is that, when Leeteuk says “with the starts we’ve lost we are 13” it’s to acknowledge that while some members go a different way, they’ll always be Super Junior. It’s a complicated issue to talk about absent members, as you must know, but Suju does it one way or another, not only considering the original 13, but also the two members of Suju-M (in case you ever come across something about “all 15 members” or “13+2”) Thank you for the fast reaction to this, I didn’t expect it :)

So, I should be working right now, but I needed a break so I'm literally watching this while eating cake.
