I think Yaning could have nailed the high note, but they switched parts pretty late and she got too nervous trying to prove herself. Yaning also naturally has a deeper voice/singing range, so it is hard for her to sing high. I think it probably would have been better if they'd kept the same parts, and instead the masters could have given advice on how to improve the one section of Ruiqi's that they thought didn't have impact. It does seem pretty stupid to totally switch parts because one part didn't have impact, when they could have just focused on improving that one part. But its mnet so they love to cause drama.
