They both had their charms to them, but I agree with you. They seem to have leveled up overall. I think it's due to the added pressure of having to perform as a standalone person moreso than a group. Now or never!

As for your other comment about FNC just sending the Chebul members to promote: I am pretty confident that was never publicly said and is just based on speculation. But correct me if I'm wrong. So for now, if it's just speculating why or why not they are here, I will not take any stance. If I had to assume though, it could be likely that you are right and it's just to promote them. For now though, until we know (if we ever will), to me she is one of many participants. The reasons why anybody is here don't matter to me. If you don't perform well or show anything, you don't deserve to move on. That's how I think about survival shows. Not necessarily how GP999 or korean shows work, cause it's often based on votes by the viewers, but that's how I go about things and how I think a show should be if it was entirely fair (hypothetically): the good trainees move on, the slacking ones or the ones who miss their chance get eliminated. Now, that is my general idea of a survival show. Personally about May: I know I'm a little negative towards her, but this is a private channel (Patreon) where I can voice such things without having much if any of a negative effect on one's public image. I want to be as transparent and honest as possible. And it's not like I'm blatantly hating her. She is just not showing anything worthy of making it through to the next round in my opninion and that's that. You can agree or disagree with that, but that's my thoughts. Sure, Mnet's editing is definitely partly to fault here, but many many of the other trainees also suffer from that and they somehow manage to show something in their little screentime they get. Doesn't mean May is bad in "clutching out in the right moments", but she may just be unlucky or whatever. In the end of the day - and I should not even really need to explain it in such detail, but I am apparently - it's my subjective opninion that she has not shown much if anything in this show and unfortunately never talks either, so I have absolutely zero basis on why I would support her. And she somehow ends up in the teams with all the top trainees here, which to me (due to that scene of her and someone else (was it Hikaru?) choosing at the same time) seemed like she did it to better her chances to win. Again, nothing necessarily bad about it, but for someone that has not shown anything in this show, she will not shine in a group of top 9 trainees with her 5 seconds of maximum screentime she likely will get again. It's unfortunate more than I dislike her.

As for your 2nd comment: There's two sides to this. 1) is if I like the song or not and then 2) is the topic of if they performed well. Yes, I don't like the song 1) but I also think they performed well 2). I said so myself if I remember correctly. They did well, especially Suyeon. Hikaru was good in the sense that she was finally differing in her way to perform compared to before. She used to be "just badass", but became sassy and cool for this one. So she did a good job in adapting. I don't see the other girl doing anything outstanding. She keeps up with them though, so that's good. All in all though, no matter if this now was a good performance or not, this is all subjective at the end of the day. You can have your own opinion about things and so can I. That's totally fine and how life works. Just because I didn't like something it doesn't mean "that's wrong" (which you imply by beginning a comment with "sorry to say but")

I agree with you on Jiyoon potentially getting the pass, but who knows. I'd rather her make it through normal means (voting) tbh

2021-09-13 20:07:59 +0000 UTCand sorry to say this but imo Hikaru's team did great. you just don't like the song, it shows from the start when you listening to it on youtube. but you said it yourself in this video, the song is really hard to choreograph and if you take that into consideration you will see that they really did well on the performance

Bora at rap and Hyerim at dance.... this is why PD101 S1 have special spot for me, the main vocal candidate (Yeonjung, Sejeong, Juna, Sira) always in vocal position, the rappers (gidle Soyeon, Pristin Yebin, DIA Cathy, Kconic trainees) chose to rap, and the main dancer candidate (Chungha, Park Soyeon) get to dance. regardless of ranks, because everyone really chose what they are good at not just trying "something new" almost all trainees got the position that they wanted, i remember only 1 people in rap position that actually never rap in her whole trainee days

Yeah i've been voting for Hyerim and Jiyoon every time. Hyerim is dead last in K group and Jiyoon is like 15th, so i'm worried that they are screwed. I could see Jiyoon possibly getting the planet pass, but I can't see the masters giving Hyerim a pass twice. you mentioned Cai Bing kind of falling for you, the same thing has happened for me. Yaning has replaced her for me in voting and top 9.

2021-09-12 20:19:27 +0000 UTCPlus her and the rest of the cherry bullet members are here to promote cherry bullet like nuest did so debuting in gp isn’t that big of a deal to them you’re acting like she needs to prove herself even though she’s already debuted which I disagree I think she can just enjoy her time here we know she isn’t debuting but she’s locked in to the next round whether her team wins or not so may is just here for fun at this point I’m sure she’s realistic and knows only the final 3 spots are up for grabs maybe 6 if 12 are debuting through planet pass and well top 4 in j group isn’t gonna get that high obviously but at least it’s good promotion for cherry bullet which is why the company sent them here

2021-09-12 15:48:10 +0000 UTCxinyu & cheukying (@1:04:26) are so underrated, cheukying been stable throughout, she tried rapping for the first time and managed to do well, she's literally an ace (rap, sing, dance (which she hasn't get to showcase yet though i've watched her dance cover videos before and she's a really great dancer) & a multilingual) but the lack of screentime is causing her to drop in rank, from c03 to c21??
