Today, I got into a bit of a skirmish with a person whose mind has been infected with the virus of evangelical Christianity. It is difficult to discuss with and engage these individuals. And although in the virtual world of tik tok, there is a certain air I would like to project, within the confines of The Situational Practice I know that many of the words that I speak( even in a non-situational way) will provide validation to someone needing it.

I cannot say much about religious trauma than what I have already said. It is an explanation for much of the suffering and mind-body disconnect that we see today. As a situationalist, changing the world one situation at a time, I wanted to use this situation to bring awareness to the harm that language can cause. Especially when we consider how triggering it is to see people callously use phrases that cause other harm.

Processing the experience of going through religious trauma can be a long and arduous process. Remembering and then re-remembering what one has gone through creates a sort of feedback loop that can be difficult to break. That is why video games can be helpful. Far Cry 5 is a great example. I borrowed a clip from an alternative universe version of me that was replying to a comment on Tik Tok that he found annoying. He wanted the commentator to know that his words were causing harm to the individuals on his page. Although it was a hit in his universe, because of the toxicity his universe went on to be destroyed by a singularity. It is a rather violent game and should not be viewed if you have sensitivity to such. It is a humorous look at a serious problem.
