Fact Fiend and Untitled Side Channel Update

Thank you to everyone reading this for your continued support! As transparency is very important to the team, here is a full update of the upcoming changes to Fact Fiend and answers to any other questions you may have.

As we announced in our Fact Fiend update video, we're shaking things up a bit by restructuring all future content on the channel into categories. Along with the videos you're all familiar with come some new types we're experimenting with. Here is a bit more information about what these categories will encompass:

• Fact Fiend Classic - The staple of the channel are the fact videos and they aren't going away. Fact Fiend Classic videos will be hosted by one of the team, with one or more behind the camera, and we will discuss a fully researched topic at length with the usual conversations and tangents.
• Fact Fiend Focus - Any video that isn't directly based on an article where we focus in on a specific topic and discuss it. Depending on the topic, these videos may have one or two hosts.
• Fact Fiend Challenge - This will cover all competitive videos we're looking at doing. These will usually be educational in some way to remain on brand and will, of course, feature multiple hosts as the competitors with the behind-the-camera voice running the bout.
• Fact Fiend List - The list format used to be very popular and still achieves some success today so we're going to be trialling a variation of that. A top 5 list but with the Fact Fiend conversational style.
• Best of Fact Fiend - Compilations of some of the best moments from the channel over the years. These are for veteran viewers to revisit some of the channel's highlights and for new viewers to get a taste of the kind of content we make.
• Fact Fiend Update - Pretty self explanatory but any video where we provide updates for the audience. If something big is happening, you'll find out about it through these videos.

There are also Fact Fiend #shorts which we will likely be leaning into a little more due to the shorts format being very popular at the moment.

We've had a lot of people asking about the How Not To Do Business series and the Wiki series. The former will return when we have a topic to discuss regarding business dealings on the channel. As for the latter, there will be an update in the coming weeks about the future of the Wiki content.

Uploads on the Untitled Side Channel will, of course, continue. We've been struggling to upload regularly over the past few weeks due to the changes happening over on Fact Fiend but we're all still committed to providing content "on the side" as a thank you for your support.
