Hello there
A very happy Monday to you, and here are the concluding storyboards from the scene grouping that started on Friday.
These are the rest of them from the woods (and nudging over into the pre-Edinburgh meeting at the B&B).
As I alluded to at the end of the last one, It always surprises me that folk don't always understand what happened with the bear/turning the tent around, so I shall completely explain it now.
Barry was asleep in the tent with his head torch beside him. The tent has zips on both sides. I put the bear on the opposite side of the tent, and then moved Barry's head torch to the other end of the tent, before waking him up and saying he had been restless in his sleep and turned the wrong way round. He hadn't turned around at all, I just made him think he had. So he moved the other way round in the tent, believing that to be the way he had been. That way, when he woke (or was woken) in the morning, he went out of the other side of the tent, thinking it was the original side. Even as I typed all that I realised that it might have been a bit too convoluted for what we were doing in that film. We did try lots with edit to make it as clear as possible, but maybe we just didn't manage it. I doubt these storyboards make it any clearer tbh. Again, these were mainly to have an overview of how the scenes all fell together in the overall arc.
They are below for you at any rate, and you can have a look at them if you want. I also think it's weird that for somebody who can actually draw (me), they're proper simple as drawings. If you were around at the time of the making of the film you'll remember how relentless it all was, so there had to be a bit of artistic corner cutting really.
Hope your start to the week is a successful one and you are doing happy and contented things.
Sending much love as always
