Bit Of Drawing

Hello there

So, I decided that I was gonna have a week off bounty hunters with my drawing this week, and do another thing I was wanting to do after getting a nice screen grab.

I was also pushed toward doing this after having a fresh blub hearing the final Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast.  Or at least the final one that Gilbert recorded.  There was rather a touching add-on ending from his co-host which saw me off.

Am I giving away too many clues as to what this drawing is?

Now, in my present weird mood, I think I am deciding that everything I do is substandard, so I shall let you be the judge of that with this drawing.  It is definitely one of those drawings that looks wrong all the way through until right at the very end.  I also don't know what I'm going to do with it.  Certainly won't be doing prints of this one though.

Shall we just have a look?  It's 1am this morning, and this is actually a decent time for me to be getting myself off to bed knowing my post is scheduled.

Obviously I've got to actually schedule the post, and to do that I need to upload these pictures...

(Descriptive text: images, progress pictures of pointillism dot drawings coming together to make...)

And we are left with...

(Descriptive text: A4 landscape pointillism picture of Gilbert Gottfried holding a coffee cup and laughing)

So...who knows?  I mean, you can see who it is. That's something.

Although I've just spotted that I've not filled in the black at the top of the sleeve on the left there.  Please just imagine that for me.

Hope all is well and happy over there, and you are all set for a lovely weekend, regardless of what you're doing for it.  It is going to be lovely.  I mean it.

Lots of love

Agreed. I remember the Baker one being ace (also there is a great interview with him on Battles With Bits Of Rubber by Stuart Bray who I have a podcast with this Thursday on here - with terrible sound levels). It's honestly worth stepping out of your comfort zone on Gilbert's podcast, and listening to some that have folk you've never heard of on them. I've learnt so much this way, and they are always great shows regardless. I listened to the Neil Sedaka one last night whilst tidying and it was SO good. No interest in him whatsoever but he was great (and there's some cracking duets)

I can't wait to scroll back to it as I do these replies. I also absolutely had every intention of the toy fair, but got up at midday and then found out it finished at 3 or something. Definitely do flag up the next one and I shall be there. With five pounds in my pocket and my credit card intentionally left at home (it will probably have been taken off me by then in fairness)

Excellent work as always. Sorry about my drunk post the other day. I also accidentally got tipsy today but only because I went to the cinema. Have a great weekend, come up to the huge toy fair on Sunday at the NEC and buy some bounty hunters! Hey the film I saw today (the Dr Strange one) was on in the same screen where I saw the Parapod movie and it made me happy to think about it. Also your film was better.

Peter Robinson

That's ace. I've started listening to the Gottfried podcast, prompted by his passing and your mentions of him and it's really good. I'm mainly in it for the horror stuff - nice to hear from Joe Dante and Rick Baker and so on.
