Here, as we cast off our spoiler concerns, is some video from the Nottingham Q&A after the audience had watched the movie.
It's a discussion about the incident in the Edinburgh vaults, and the impact it had on filming and production of the movie itself, which may be of interest if you've seen the movie.
It was also the night I had decided to wear a barrel beneath my t-shirt, which – looking back – was perhaps not that wise a move next to snake-hips Dodds. That said, there's speculation that Dodds wasn't even there, and was added in with CGI afterwards. You'll notice that the VFX person forgot to give him a shadow
Have a little watch, should you wish. We'd abandoned the microphones as they were radio mics and radio mics that were playing up. As radio mics so often do.

Yep it was a crazy couple of hours. Everyone in freefall for different reasons. I find myself dreading it because it's such a gear shift, but that's also how it felt in the moment.
2021-12-04 10:48:16 +0000 UTCI can understand why Barry doesn't want to see that scene again, but it's one of my favourite in the film. It encapsulates a moment of crystal clear horror being experienced without a filter. I was chilled by it when I saw it on the first cinema run and knowing it was coming the second time I watched the film actually heightened the tension rather than diminishing it. It was really was something unique.
