Rocky Robot Pitch Video

Hello there

So today I am showing you the recently "completed" part of the Rocky Robot pitch pack. It's quite nice to do a Rocky video from me, rather than from Rocky, for a change. 

There are actually several versions of this, tailor-made for different companies, but I'm just showing you this one.  I can't even remember off the top of my head which company this is for, but when the company is referenced, that is when the other videos differ to be bespoke to different companies.

There's issues with this video.  I had tremendous problems with Chip's voice, as it appeared to have reverb on it.  Even though this was removed in the source file (with Jon's voice normal), when the pitch was added to it there seemed to be an issue with it also pitching the reverb, which made it more reverby.  Brilliant Danny, who did the sound on the movie, had a look at it, but it appears to be beyond help.  I'm putting a plan together to solve sound issues once and for all, but it's perhaps going to require studio fitting some of my house.  More on that another time.

I recorded an audio insert to point out Chip's voice, but that is also tonally different to the rest of Rocky's speech, which may just add to the problem.  I do think it's a funny insert though, and I'm always fond of the parts in the Rocky stuff where it is a bit meta and self referential.

Personally, as I've already said to Jon, I think this video is kind of ballsy for a pitch intro.  It could really rub people up the wrong way, but there's also the chance it will prick up their ears.  I think we are committed to the idea of remaining mischievous in our business dealings, and if it bites us then we can still be entertained by the idea we did it.
