Hello there
I mentioned on the rejigged Cabin Fever yesterday that I just carried on drawing this piece in the week, rather than coming back to it, and here is the third and final part of that.
It was many hours, over several days, but I also think this was a decent turnaround for a full page piece. I get huge satisfaction from the journey of filling a page, and will maybe some day go up a size in paper to do something properly dominant. I've been looking all week at the half painted Mickey & Minnie that is STILL in my kitchen (over two years now), and having the urge just just slap paint on it in quite a stylised way to finish it off. There's something very alluring about making something big.
"Of course the scale's all wrong, you need to get bigger you know, let yourself go, get some SIZE into it...D'you like fish? We're having fish for lunch..." (that is today's movie quote quiz which might be unfair because I could have gotten some of the words wrong, but feel free to answer in the comments...there is no prize...not allowed to do stuff on Patreon that only benefits some patrons because that isn't fair...even if you are rewarding the cultured ones...this is definitely too long for brackets...)
Anyways, here we go with the long-awaited (two days) completion of the full page ink composition of the movie Clue. If nowt else, please promise me you will watch this film if you haven't...honestly it's wonderfully ridiculous, atmospheric and hilarious.

Oh, whilst I remember, so unreliable is my brain these days when I'm deep in drawing that I actually had to write this on the picture to stop me making a mistake that I nearly did several times...

(that's because the white space behind it is meant to be white as it's a shirt collar, but when you are filling lots of white spaces with black it's easy to not register it in the moment)

Yep, it has come to the point where I'm having to draw around 10p coins. It also meant I had to slightly rejig where all the murder weapons were because the coin was marginally bigger than the original plan, so everything got snugged together more.
Still, made it through and completed it to the very end.

I can tell who everyone is, and I know what film it is, and I'll rub out the pencil lines before sticking it straight on Etsy.
I'm genuinely not expecting to be shifting any original art fast, but figure that I can just leave it up there for sale and sooner or later somebody may fall in love with it. One of the main things with Etsy is actually getting people to your page in the first place, and that sometimes takes a while. Just trying my best to be pro-active over here, which I think is the right way.
There we go - all done and dusted. Next ink piece is a commission but I've permission to log the progress of it on here (which is really helpful for me). I do need to re-watch some of the Alien films to get reference pics though....
(That's not actually a teaser is it? That obviously tells you it's Alien...think it's gonna lend itself to the intricate noir drawing really well too...)
Hope you are having a brilliant weekend so far - sunscreen and suncream please.
Much love
