Loopholes Episode 2

Hello there

Here I am proudly brandishing the second episode of Loopholes, which settles further into its theme.

Hey and before anything else - can I please draw attention to the wonderful bespoke music by icon of Infinite Hermit productions, Thomas Van Der Ree, which I somehow just never mentioned last week.  I think it was all such a whirlwind of production and launch and I had a moment of remiss.  He did loads of demos and everything and then I just got the final music and rode off into the sunset.  Dreadful of me.  Hopefully he just didn't see it, but Thomas, if you did, that's my bad and I remain indebted to you as well as now feeling like I need to make amends for not shoving you centre stage.

Better cover my back by also saying the voice overs are the dulcet tones of Stuart Bray who was taking advantage of covid-induced gruff and doing loads of voice overs all over the place.  I did tell him to include himself in the credits, but he's either being benevolent or simply embarrassed by association.

In today's episode the subject is "psychics", and I should warn you that there is liberal use of the phrase "Uri Gellar" thanks to my co-host's baffling obsession with him.  I do my very best to redress the balance on this profanity, but it's still worth you knowing the potential tarnish ahead of you.

A further warning that the Celebrity Seance I managed to veto last week, comes back to haunt us.  Metaphorically speaking.

Hope you enjoy it, and it's an interesting listen for your Wednesday (or whatever day you get around to it).

Also hope your week is going wonderfully well for you.

Sending very much love

Comments

So far I am absolutely loving this new podcast. Not diminishing any other podcasts in the slightest, but it is super refreshing and still slightly surprising to have Ian ask a question and get an intelligent, well researched answer in response!

Haha - only one proper episode so far... plenty of discussion left to have. There was definitely expanding beyond "it's complicated so shush" and shall be more to come - cheers Michael!

Fun episode. Something I noticed is that Kate gets off much too easily by saying "it's really complicated" whenever Ian questions the science. Let's get into the details!
