So, today i learned that if you put fruit in the microwave that has a high mineral content, it can catch FIRE. 😨

In this case, i was slicing up some bits of freshly bough peach from our roadside market. Deposited my little slivers of fruit in the bowl and popped them int the microwave for a whooping 20 seconds. (this is for the small human, i do it soften pears and apples all the time, as, well small human doesn't have molars yet and isn't the best yet at determining when something is small enough to swallow.) After 8 of those twenty seconds, there was now 4 inch neon pink FLAMES volcano style shooting up out of the bowl. Well, i whipped open that door and stared in raw bewilderment and my not even charred but now smelling of burnt plastic peach bits. One trip to Google later, and yeah, this is apparently a thing that can happen if you don't add in some water to diffuse it.

So, that's my fun fact of the day. May you all learn vicariously through me, and can thus avoid being lightly traumatized by Heavy Metal Flaming Peaches.
