"Blind Date" WEEK ONE CANDIDATES: Mages

Hi Everyone! It is Week One of our  “Blind Date” Profile Postings. Ready to meet the Week One Candidates? The poll at the end of this post will be open to August 4th.

These profiles are all of our masked Mages, aka our Candidates who are Energy Manipulative Talents. Just a reminder, these “masked” profiles do not include much information name, gender, family history or Nationality yet. Not all Candidates are full-time students at the University. The Candidates will not be named and “unmasked” until after all the “Blind Date” Profile Postings and the Round One Polls are concluded.

And with no further ado, our first three Candidates are...

FlexibleFlier

FlexibleFlier is an athlete who loves to fly. They have a reputation for being a bit rude, but their friends just laugh and say “Spirit just forgot to put a filter between their thoughts and lips.” Unfortunately for a Talent who likes to fly more often than not, they have a strong Earth Affinity and are currently only capable of empathically absorbing energy from low-vibration sources. This limits how much they are capable of as a Mage unless/until they are able to train to absorb other forms of energy. Though they would never be mistaken for a bookworm, they tackle their training challenge with the same gusto they do everything else. Even though they consider flight their first favorite activity, they are also starting to explore new possibilities and interests outside of Athletics thanks to the encouragement of new friends.

FashionMage

FashionMage is passionate about becoming a Bree Walker, using their considerably strong Ability for matter manipulation in clever, creative ways. Many an elder busybody has voiced concerns that this powerful young Talent is “wasting” their considerable Ability playing ‘dress-up’ when they could be an incredibly powerful Rosinic Walker. However, FashionMage has been always drawn to Bree and their teachers have always encouraged FashionMage to follow the Way that calls out to them most clearly. FashionMage expresses themselves through fashion despite the school uniform, sewing new outfits and accessories, creating custom makeup and constantly experimenting with their appearance. Despite being known for their artistic endeavours and eye-grabbing fashion, they do not actually make new friends all that easily. If you can coax the FashionMage into a good conversation, you will find them to be a steadfast, generous, friend or partner.

EntertainingEmpath

EntertainingEmpath is a True Medium and a True Empath, who has trouble controlling their powerful Abilities, which bombard them constantly with images and feelings from both the living and dead. While not shy at all on a face-to-face basis, and are generally more confident than anxious, they used to *always* get really overwhelmed in large crowds because of this empathic overload. EntertainingEmpath went into the University thinking they would eventually become a Turin Walker, as they truly enjoy helping ghosts crossover when they can. Yet, they also got to be friends with some of the "Bree kids” at school. With their help, EntertainingEmpath is slowly learning to overcome their social jitters and explore their other interests. Considering that their most common companions are spirits and ghosts (and EntertainingEmpath often jokes that there is nothing more deadpan that the humor of the dead) they value a really good sense of humor in the living friends and partners.
