Hey everyone! Mac here! I just have some gratitude I need to get off my chest 💜💜💜

Y’all are just the best! Thank you for being so kind to J as she deals with the loss of her long time furry companion. Athena has always been her writing buddy, in addition to all-around awesome cat, for 16 years. Thank you for every message of kindness and consolation.

We really appreciate that you've all been so understanding about the slight delay to some of our posts this month, as a result.

I've also been dealing with an unfortunate string of luck… In the past week I've had a tree fall on my home, damaging it; a tire blowout that left myself, my infant, and a wheelchair-bound elderly member stranded on the road for over 6 hours; the dishwasher flooded our kitchen; and hardest of all, my mother, who lives with me and my spouse, and our baby’s other primary caretaker, is going in *today* for a very complex orthopedic surgery today that will leave her in a large cast for three months. It's been... nerve-racking. But I'm hopeful that as summer wraps up, better luck will be coming soon!
