Akemi Foster, half-English magical girl of some notoriety and popularity, and self proclaimed rival to Hikari and equally self proclaimed nemesis of Izanami. By most official rankings, she’s considered the most powerful solo magical girl in the city. For a while, she thought so too. But then she bit off more than she could chew against this one villain, and Hikari saved her with contemptuous ease. While she was of course grateful, she wrote it off as a fluke - clearly the villain had been weakened by her power!

And then it happened again. And again. And at this point, even Akemi’s pride couldn’t build herself up as more powerful than Hikari anymore. The girl's too gosh darn nice to dislike, but every protagonist (meaning herself!) needs a rival, and that was evidently what Hikari was meant to be to her. She gets a bit frustrated at Hikari’s nearly effortless power combined with obliviousness and… well, being a dumbass frankly, but that just encourages her to try harder, to become more powerful! And then, maybe one day, Hikari will realize how much she needs to learn and become Akemi’s sidekick~

In recent months, a new villainess has come to the scene, and unlike most, it seems she’s going to be a long term issue - Izanami, a powerful witch (her words, not Akemi’s) who has immense power and a variety of schemes and forms. Her activity is inconsistent, but it always returns, and Akemi has declared the woman her nemesis! One day, she’ll defeat her once and for all! Nevermind she has yet to actually beat her without extenuating circumstances! And no, the fact she resembles Hikari doesn’t even cross Akemi’s mind.
