Thinking back about all she’d learned she was growing angrier and angrier by the second. Ian eventually showed up and Katie stood up to make herself more intimidating. Ian delivered a thinly veiled lie as always, searching for an inkling of forgiveness on Katie’s face. It didn’t help that he had been eyeing up the cute waitress the moment he’d walked in either.
