Added 2018-04-29 12:54:51 +0000 UTCJust got back from our all night MV shoot for Crush! I am so tired I want to die lol we shot from 10pm-6am. All my internal dread about not being able to perform was for naught, all the footage looks SO COOL and I'm honestly just so thrilled and grateful. Everyone was asking me leading up to the shoot how I was feeling and the truth was just so nervous, it's just such a short time and such a large investment and it feels so important that it turns out well and yeah!! you guys!! all the footage looks so good!! I can't wait for everyone to see it!
Right now my plan is to try and fall asleep before 8am. Sleep a solid 5 hours. Wake up and run errands for our second music video (Bad Ideas, which by the way we're still looking for a marching snare drum set up if anyone in the St Louis area has one or knows someone who has one), hopefully be super tired and go to sleep again by 10 to wake up early so I can reset my clock to wake up before the sun comes up for a early morning Bad Ideas shoot on Tuesday and Wednesday.
In other news, we hit $7000 on Patreon!! which means I'll be releasing the demos for three of my songs that I originally sent to Seth before producing them! Never planned for anyone to hear these so they're super sloppy and lazy haha, when I play for Seth I know he's just listening to the song not the performance so they're not things I ever thought people would hear! Are there any songs you'd really like to hear more than others? I don't still have the demos for everything (and some songs never had demos i just played them for Seth in person) but I'll do my best to accommodate!
If we can hit $7500 I will be able to hire the one, the only, Shawna Howson (of nanalew fame) as an editor for one of these music videos! Shawna is truly a prolific editor and I loooooove to work with her, we've just been squeezing the budget so tight on the front end there's so little left for post right now! Thank you for all the support so far! Truly this is changing the shape of what this launch would have been. <3<3
Gonna go sleep the shortest amount I can to not feel like death but still be tired tonight.

When I first moved to America by myself, I experienced (I don't want to use the word "struggle" since I know that this is just part of my experience) anxiety and some..depressed feelings. Don't wanna make it sound cheesy or dramatic haha. Anyways, I accidentally ran into you on YouTube through your vlogmas videos. Then I discovered "On My Own" and "Haze". I felt so related to the lyrics -- "damn this is my song!!" I watched many of your vlogs. Just listening to you talking about random stuff makes me so much more relax. Especially when you say "It's okay. It's fine. I'm fine. We're fine." For some reasons, these words just stick in my head. Whenever I got overwhelmed by some little things, your words just popped up in my head. My aneity has relieved so much in the past few weeks. And I really like how you talked about self worth and trusting people. I can relate to that and it makes me think about how I should approach these situations. Anyways, I don't expect that you are going to read this. But I just wanna say thank you. I just ordered your signed Polaroid. (it'll be a daily reminder for my anxiety as well--don't worry, it's okay, we're okay!!) Tessa, you are truly talented and I hope more people will hear your music and love them like I do! Thank you!
