Happy Monday!

I'm back in Nashville from a week of shooting in Saint Louis! Had such a wonderful time shooting the first two music videos off Bad Ideas with Isaac White and his team. I was so nervous about my ability to perform, and my faith that it would all come together on such a tiny budget, but truly, I could not be more happy with the footage from both these videos. It's such a pleasure to problem solve with such a passionate team and everything came together so serendipitously.

We were really wanting a marching drum snare for one of the videos. We'd already committed to flying out Dante, my drummer, and it was the week of the shoot and still no snare. Everywhere we called said they didn't rent them, and every high school we contacted we got no answer from. Two days out from the shoot and I asked twitter and instagram if anyone in the area knew anyone with a drum we could borrow. I put my phone away to order a coffee before sitting down to try calling local high schools and the barista commented that I looked tired haha. I was like "yeah we just got off an all night shoot and now I'm desperately trying to find a marching drum snare... You don't happen to own one or know one who owns one do you?" and he was like "Actually, I'm in a band too and I think my drummer has one." So long story short, we ended up with not one but two drums for us to pick between! One from Caleb, the barista from the band Night Hike, and one from Alex, a kind stranger who reached out on instagram to lend us one from his college!

I can't wait for you all to see the videos! At this moment the footage is on a hard drive being shipped off to Shawna (of Nanalew fame!) to edit both videos. I'll be posting late this week or early next week with a schedule for all the digital perks (the times of the Acoustic Shows and Listening Parties!) For now, here's a picture from the set of Bad Ideas with the two drums!

PS I added a reoccurring perk to the $5 tier since at the moment it was just the one time download of the Halloway B-Sides. My mom and I are going to do a Mom and Me Podcast starting next month reviewing Season Two of Doctor Who haha. I might adjust the price of the handwritten lyrics to cover the cost of the production of the podcast but I'll keep you posted on that front. We're still working on budgeting.
