Doomsday preppers chapter 4
Added 2024-07-09 23:50:29 +0000 UTCSaeko was ready and willing to give her body to Akira, to satisfy his every deprived sexual desire, after all he had earned it.
Now imagine her surprise when all Akira did was train her in the way of the sword and cooking. For weeks every flaw and weakness she had was ruthlessly beaten out of her. Her Kendo was taken to the next level by Akira and the psychopath known as Taiga Fujimura. In just a matter of days she was able to go toe to toe with her father, he only beat her in their last spar before his trip because he had more experience in combat.
Yet no matter how strong the Busujima heir got, Akira seemed to always be one step stronger. It seemed she wasn't the only one who was training. Akira also made sure she practiced cooking food at home, a weird request but one she obliged. As the days went on, Saeko came to the realization that Akira was either grooming her into a lethal weapon or a housewife.
And she was all for it.
The reason why was…because the world was ending. Saeko didn't believe that of course but she kept her opinions to herself. Per his commands she stood at his right hand whenever they were in the clubroom. She watched him give lessons on how to survive the undead, how to always aim for the head and make sure to double tap. While she didn't believe any of this, she committed it to heart at Akira's request. And whenever he and Rei Miyamoto were having a private moment in the clubroom, Saeko had to sit on a chair in the corner and watch. She had asked Akira why he requested something like this and apparently Rei felt threatened by her. Making Saeko watch was her own way of asserting dominance.
As time went on, Saeko got to know a little bit more about Akira. Behind that stoic and cool face was someone who cared about his club. Teaching them how to survive the apocalypse was him showing that he cared. She theorized.
After the trip at the water park, he'd given her a little phone, along with a single Bluetooth headset and a charger. She was tasked with making sure to always carry the phone on her person at all times, keep it on and to charge it every night. Only Akira knew the number, so if it was to ever ring, then that meant the world was coming to an end.
Saeko didn't think much about it and did as ordered. This was just Akira being Akira.
Saeko was in the campus dojo meditating on the recent fight she had with Akira. The force and deathly intent behind each swing, his footwork, her footwork, her swing-
Suddenly a phone went off.
Blue eyes opened and she slowly got up and went to her bag. An odd song she couldn't understand played until she pulled out the phone and pressed answer.
“Seems it's your lucky day my lovely little Psycho, the world as we know it is over. Where are you now?”
“I'm in the campus dojo,” Saeko replied.
“Good, at least some things haven't changed much. Put on the Bluetooth earpiece and follow my instructions.”
Saeko did as told, she grabbed the device and put it to her ear and followed his instructions on how to set it up.
“Shizuka was supposed to be in her office but she was meeting up with Kyoko, the ping pong club advisor. They are currently in the faculty room so get there as fast as you can and protect Shizuka no matter what. Your enemies are uncoordinated but fast, strong and resilient zombies, I'm sure you won't have trouble. Remember my lessons, they can't see and loud noises draw them in. Good luck.”
As the line cut, Saeko couldn't help but wonder, was this it? Was the world really ending or was Akira testing her? If she went outside, would she find the undead or Akira and Taiga in costumes?
…
…
…
Ayumu Kadowaki didn't believe a single thing Akira said, he just went along with it because he didn't have any friends. As sad as it was, Akira was the only friend he had. Whenever Ayumu asked, Akira would always indulge him in a game of Shogi.
Granted it was also Akira's fault he didn't have any friends.
But it was thanks to Akira that the Shogi club found new members, all female members which was a plus! Saeko rarely played, only standing guard next to Akira. Rei on the other hand was very good. A natural born talent that had lost her love of the game until recently.
Ayumu's simple life was complicated by Akira, yet at the same time Akira brought excitement to it. So he took Akira's lessons to heart, asking questions whenever he was confused and going out of his way to learn parkour.
As the days went on, Ayumu was happy with his life, happy that they lived in a Zombie free world and the undead were just a thing Akira liked to rumble about.
Until now…
The green haired boy watched as his fellow students turned feral and began eating each other. Students attacked students regardless of gender or popularity. Even the teacher wasn't spared, a horde of students biting large chunks out of his body.
Screams of horror filled the room as everyone panicked and went for the door. Ayumu wanted nothing more than to join them, to get away and run straight into his mother's arms.
But he stopped.
His eyes scanned the room and he took in everything. One of Akira's lessons was to always stay calm and take in your surroundings. Make sure to always know what's in front of you and behind you.
Ayumu sat in the middle of the class, currently most of the class was at the front trying to get out, either managing to get out all getting stomped down. The students who were mauling the teacher seemed to stop and pounce on the desperate kids trying to escape.
“Roughly about ten seconds for someone to transform once they get bitten. Or longer depending on the person. Some people can turn just after ten seconds while others can have whole conversations before transforming. But just to be safe, ten seconds.”
Who knew all that nonsense would come in handy!
Making sure his glasses were fixed on, Ayume did the most Akira thing he could think of in this situation.
He broke into a run and jumped out the fucking window!
As Ayumu's body burst throw the glass, he made sure to land in a roll, making sure to absorb the impact and convert the momentum from vertical to horizontal. Without hesitation, he sprinted forward. A couple of the undead saw him coming but Ayumu jumped towards the wall, pushed off it and back flipped over them.
With a smirk of satisfaction, Ayumu landed on his feet and broke into a ran. That was so cool! He couldn't wait to tell Akira about-
“The back flip was unnecessary, style points are a waste of time-
On second thought, he'll just keep that to himself. Turning a corner, Ayumu's mind race faster than his legs. What now? His end goal was to get out of the school and go find his mother. A house wife like her was not going to survive the apocalypse. Right now he needed to find Akira, that crazy bastard was probably alive somewhere. The funny thing is that Akira had told him to carry a hidden phone with him but Ayumu had refused. If the school had caught him with one who knows what kind of stress that would have brought on his poor mother.
The one time he doesn't listen to Akira's paranoa and the world ends, typical.
Now the only place in the school that Ayume was a hundred percent sure had a phone was the faculty room. He needed to get there as fast he could so he could call Akira and his mom.
…
…
…
“A-Akira what's going on!?” Rei asked frantically as she held Takashi's phone to her ear.
“A Zombie apocalypse, now listen, grab something heavy that you can swing around, you gonna need to fight your way out of there-
“Akira this isn't the time to joke around! It might be one of those school shooters-
“Rei listen to me! I want you, and the boys to grab Saya and Yuuki! Protect them! Grab a chair leg or something hard and sharp and stick it right in the head! Not the heart, the head! Don't make noise, if you happen upon a hallway full of them-zombies full of zombies you can easily maneuver around them, they are completely blind but have extraordinary hearing so make sure to be as quiet as possible! Please Rei, use everything I've taught you so far! Give the phone to Hisashi if he's next to you-
Suddenly there was a loud bang as the door burst open.
“H-help…me,” A girl walked in, limping on one leg while she dragged the broken one behind. The leg's ankle was broken to the point of the bone sticking out! Her clothes were covered in blood, her face was beaten and bruised. But the one thing that stuck out the most was the large chunk missing from her face. Her left cheek was missing…
“Hey are you okay?” The teacher approached the girl. “Let me get you to the Nurse-
Blurgh!
The girl spat out a glob of blood all over the poor teacher.
“Help…help…HELP MEEE!!!” A humane growl came out of the girl's throat as her eyes rolled to the back of her head and pounced on the teacher. Tackling him to the ground.
“Hey-aaahhhh!!!!”
She went straight for his jugular, biting out a large chunk with her teeth.
Rei watched all this happen with wide terror filled eyes. The teacher screamed as the girl kept attacking him until he stopped. The girl kept eating at his neck before she stopped and got up.
She then turned to class and stared at them with dead white eyes.
What stuck out to Rei was her skin, it looked wrong. Everything about her was wrong! That thing that was staring at them was not human!
The teacher's body that had gone still suddenly got up, much like the girl, it too was covered in blood. Eyes clouded over and its skin a dead gray.
The two monsters stared at the class for a second before they lunged for the students at the front and all hell broke loose.
“....-Rei! Rei! Listen to me, grab a chair and protect yourself!-
Rei was frozen in terror as she watched her classmates attack each other in a brutal fashion.
“Hisashi grab Rei now!”
“Rei, come on! Snap out of it!”
She heard Hisashi's voice before she was grabbed and pulled back. The action bringing her back from the trance her fear had put her in. She noted that Takashi and Yuuki were sea
“Grab a chair, we're busting out of here!” Takashi yelled, as he grabbed the very chair he sat on. “Saya come here! Yuuki get behind me!”
“What exactly is your plan, genius?!” Saya yelled as she ran over to him.
“Survive and get to the faculty room.” Takashi said as he looked at her. “Akira says he's waiting for us there.”
“And how exactly do-
“He called me,” Yuuki held up her pink phone. “Now shut up and let them do their thing!”
“Hisashi, Rei and I will be on point,” Takashi said, eyes going forward as he tracked the chaos happening in front of them. “On my command, when I see an opening we run for it. Got it?”
Rei grabbed herself a chair, holding it by the legs firmly. Hisashi held his arms up in a fighting stance. Yuuki had her phone pressed to her ear as she stood behind Takashi along with Saya.
For a second it felt like the world was silent despite all the chaos around them. Rei could practically hear her heart beat as she waited.
“Now!”
Takashi's voice cut through the metaphorical silence and they all moved.
Takashi was at the front of the charge, he swung his chair like a baseball bat and slammed whatever was in front of him out of the way!
Hisashi shoved them away before they could get a good grip and Rei did as Takashi, making a hit whenever one of them came near.
They made their way through the class and out the door. If the classroom was in chaos but the rest of the school was even worse…half of it was practically on fire! People ran around as screams of horror and terror filled the air.
“Akira says to be as quiet as possible, these things are blind but they can hear really well!” Yuuki said, phone pressed to her ear. “We shouldn't kill them if we can help it. We can sneak around them.”
“Just how does Akira know all this?” Saya asked, having been silent during their escape from class. “Also it seems we have a tag along,”
Rei glanced back, seeing the chubby boy next to Saya giving them a nervous wave
“S-sorry, you guys seem to know what you're doing.” He said with a nervous chuckle
“Let's go, the more we stay the higher the risk.” Takashi ordered, before he began moving. With the rest of the group joining.
They made their way through the halls, being as quiet as possible. Some of them would try to attack but they'd fight them off. Apart from the whole killing your fellow students and teachers part, everything went smoothly.
…until they turned a corner and found themselves staring at a hallway filled with them. Dozens of them filled the whole way, as they lazily shuffled around.
“This way,” Hisashi suddenly whispered, pointing to one of the many empty classes. “Let's pick one, and maybe we can wait it out?”
“Let's do it,” Takashi nodded before he gestured to one of the classes that looked empty. “I'll go check if it's safe.”
Takashi quickly ran over to the class and slowly peaked in, a second later he waved them over.
And they quickly went over to him.
Rei couldn't help but be surprised by Takashi, so far he had taken control of the situation. Who would have thought he was a natural born leader.
They all filled into the room and Hisashi closed the door behind him.
“Hey, help us with the door,” Takashi ordered the newcomer who quickly grabbed some tables and chairs. They piled them at the door before they finally stopped to rest.
“We can't stay here,” Saya said with a frown.
“We know, this is just temporary. Once we catch our breath and come up with a plan to get to the faculty room we'll leave.” Takashi said as sat down on a chair. “Plus the whole world is fucked and we haven't had time to process all this.”
“W-what do you mean by that?” The newcomer asked.
“Isn't it obvious fatty? This isn't just happening here, it's everywhere! Most likely the whole city if not the country.” Saya explained as she pushed up her glasses. “We should get out of the school-
“Obviously Ms Genius, but that's not the question we should be asking.” Yuuki said from where she was seated on a table. “What we should be asking is how the hell did Akira know?”
Rei couldn't help but frown at that.
“The guy likes zombies and stuff, so do the people who make Zombie movies, games, anime and manga.” Hisashi said while standing, leaning against a nearby wall. “Not like they all knew. This is all just some fucked up coincidence.”
“I've read the little books he likes giving out. Ten second transformation, ghoulish skin, completely blind but supernatural level hearing?” Yuuki listed off. “Don't you think that's more than a coincidence? You know I'm right, Rei.”
As much as she didn't want to admit it, Yuuki was right. Everything Akira had told her about the undead had come true, the apocalypse he had talked about so much was now happening.
“Look, we'll ask Akira once we meet up with him, right now we need to come up with a plan to get there.” Takashi said, his phone in hand. “Akira's information may be suspicious but it helped us, we'll follow his instructions for now but once we're out of danger you're free to ask him. For now we drop that and brainstorm. Saya any ideas?”
“Of course you'd ask me,” The pink haired girl huffed. “Lucky for you I think I know the answer.”
“Then we're all ears,” Takashi smiled as they all turned to Saya.
“Well since we're following Akira's theories, we just have to wait it out. Simple as that.” Saya said as she gave a smug smirk. “They surprised us when they appeared, people didn't know what was going on and for the first few minutes there was chaos. But it's a simple concept, even without Akira's notes one can easily grasp it. You get bitten, you die and turn into them. It's happened so many times at this point even a monkey can figure it out. What little people are left in the school are most likely in hiding. That's why the further we got from class the fewer of them we saw. Until now, that is.”
“Once they calm down, it'll be easy for us to sneak around them.” Yuuki added. “Great plan Saya, you really are a genius!”
“Naturally,” Saya agreed as she puffed up her chest.
“So it's a waiting game huh?” Hisashi said with a chuckle.
While they were all safe, Rei couldn't help remember her mother and father.
“Should we call our parents?” Rei asked as everyone turned to her. “But what if they are in the same situation we are. Hiding from them. If a phone suddenly went off…”
“We'll hold off on calling anyone for now,” Takashi said as they all nodded. “Yuuki any word from Akira?”
“Not yet but I'm on standby,” The girl said with a thumbs up.
“Good, everyone rest up. Ten minutes from now Hisashi and I will go check it out.”
…
…
…
Shizuka's day started like any other, she woke up, took a bath, got dressed, had breakfast and drove off to work. Normally she'd go to her office and wait for anyone that might need her help.
But today was different.
Kyoko Hayashi, a friend and teacher at Fujimi academy, had approached her for some girl talk.
“Teshima asked me to marry him,” Kyoko said as they entered the faculty room. The place was empty since most of the teachers were out either at the gate or had first period. One of the reasons Kyoko brought her here was for some privacy since no student would burge in unlike her office.
And because the faculty had an expensive coffee maker and mini fridge.
“Really, what did you say?” Shizuka asked, a warm cup of coffee in hand. The two sat at opposite ends of a table. One meant for the faculty to sit at.
“I didn't know what to say, it was so unexpected!” The red haired teacher said. Kyoko had light brown eyes with glasses, reddish-brown hair which she kept in a loose ponytail with long strands hanging down in front of each ear, and a full figure with large breasts. Almost as large as Shizuka's.
“But aren't you two together? You've been sleeping together, after all.” Shizuka pointed out as she sipped her coffee.
“Yes but Teshima isn't marriage material, the only reason he even asked was because he was desperate. I've wanted to break up with him and move on with my life, so when I told him about it he quickly knelt down on one knee and asked me to marry him.” Kyoko said as she sipped her coffee. “I like Teshima but he is too playful.”
“I thought you were happy with him,”
“Don't get me wrong Shizuka, the sex is good but Teshima isn't serious about me. I've said multiple times I want us to settle down but he always came up with an excuse. Always said it wasn't the right time. I'm in my 30s, the right time is now or never.” The redhead sighed. “When I tried to break things off he pulls this on me! I wish he was more like your mystery man Shizuka.”
“Eh my what?!” A shocked Shizuka asked before she quickly put her cup on the table. “I don't know what you're talking about!”
“Don't play dumb with me Shizuka,” Kyoko said as she rolled her eyes in amusement. “Since the school year started you've been happy, walking around without a care in the world. All we talk about is my love life and whenever I bring up men you have this little knowing smile. You don't go out drinking with us anymore, the one time you actually come you only have half a drink and leave early. Honestly the whole faculty knows you're with someone.”
“Am I really that obvious?” Shizuka said as she sighed.
“You're so damn happy all the time,” Kyoko said as she laughed. “So spill, is it a J-popster? Is that why you've been tight lipped about it?”
“It's not that,” the blonde nurse gave a sigh of resignation. “It's because he's younger than me, I don't want you and everyone else mocking me.”
“I would never!” Kyoko gasped mockingly. “So how old is he? What's the age gap?”
“This is why I didn't bring him up,” Shizuka said with a shake of her head. “You're not getting anything else out of me.”
“Dating a younger man, are you sure he likes you for you or is it just fun and games?” Kyoko asked seriously.
“It's not always fun and games with him, it's the opposite actually.” Shizuka said as she let out a chuckle before she smiled “He's always so serious, always working all the time. But whenever I ask he always makes time for me. Always ready to cuddle.”
“But what about the future?” Kyoko asked, looking at Shizuka with a frown. “What about marriage, we're not getting any younger you know!”
Shizuka frowned, Kyoko was making it sound like Akira was just using her for fun. But she knew better, he loved her. “Well we agreed to marry next year,” the blonde said before she quickly covered her mouth. “Oh no, I wasn't supposed to say that!”
“No way! Are you serious Shizuka!?” The redhead yelled, almost standing up from her seat. “Did you ask him-
“No he just brought it up one day,” Shizuka said, the memory of her cuddled in Akira's arms making her smile. “And before you ask I trust his word.”
Kyoko stared at Shizuka with narrowed eyes before she sighed and leaned back in her chair. “I suppose you know what you're doing,” She said before her glasses gleamed and a smirk made its way to her face. “So how's the sex? Since he's young and full of energy I bet he asks for it all the time!”
Shizuka quickly blushed, remembering the many, many times she had been intimate with Akira. “Yeah he sure is demanding…” she said with a nervous chuckle. A bold faced lie. While Akira did love sex, he rarely demanded it from her. Shizuka was the one who constantly went to him for it. Even at school she'd drag him to a secluded area and make love to him. If her peers found out that she was so lewd what would they think-
Suddenly, her phone went off.
“Shizuka, I've told you before, always mute your phone in the morning. It's the first period after all.” Kyoko scolded as Shizuka went to her handbag and pulled out her phone. The caller ID reading My lover with hearts around it.
“Sorry Kyoko but I have to take this,” Shizuka said as she stood up and walked over to the other side of the room. Akira was calling after all and she didn't want Kyoko suspecting anything. She quickly answered and pressed the phone to her ear. “Hello babe-
“Shizuka! Listen to me very carefully!”
The blonde nurse froze in shock upon hearing the raw emotion in her normally stoic lover's voice. Last time she heard him talk like this he was having a mental breakdown!
“I was right about everything! The school is currently being overrun right now! Tell me where you are right now!”
“I…I'm at the faculty room with Kyoko, we were talking and-”
“Shit, I'm nowhere near you-No we can work with this, Shizuka lock the door right now, put tables, chairs and whatever is available against the door. Do not let anyone in until I tell you to! Hear me? Don't let anyone in no matter how much they beg and scream-
“Akira slow down! You seriously can't expect me to believe all this!” Shizuka yelled, drawing Kyoko's attention. “Is…is this like before? Where are you, let me come to you and we can-
“Are you near a window, Shizuka?”
“...” the blonde nurse turned and walked over to the nearby window. The faculty room had a good view of the school entrance and what she saw made her eyes widened in horror.
People where attacking each other!
And just outside the locked gate she could see them, a dozen people banging against it mindlessly. Even from where she was, Shizuka could tell that something wasn't right with them.
“K-kyoko…” She said as her friend came over.
“Shizuka what's the matter-
Shizuka pointed, Kyoko looked where she was pointing and froze in shock.
Good, at least she wasn't crazy.
“Shizuka, have you locked the door already? Listen, I need you to do as I say quickly. I'm coming to you right now! But it might take a while. Put your phone on silent, not on vibrate but SILENT! Keep it with you at all times and be on the lookout for a call or my message. Remember what I taught you, you were my brightest student so you know my lessons by heart more than anyone else. Use them and stay alive.”
“I will,” Shizuka nodded, a determined look in her eyes. The blonde knew all of Akira's lessons by heart! And she was going to use them to survive and wait for him.
“...before I go, I love you Shizuka.”
“I love you too, Akira.” Shizuka said wholeheartedly.
The phone call cut and Shizuka quickly turned and headed for the door.
“S-shizuka what's going on!” Kyoko yelled as she quickly followed the blonde.
“We have to Barricade the door! The school is under attack!”Shizuka yelled as she locked the door. Turning, she pointed at the nearby tables and chairs. “Come on, help me move those.”
“W-why were people attacking each other?!” Kyoko frantically asked.
“It's…it's some kind of a virus, once you get infected you turn feral and attack other
people. We'll be safe here if we barricade ourselves in here and remain quiet. Help is one the way.” Shizuka said as she walked over to the table and removed the coffee cups. “Now come help me with this!”
“Shouldn't we go out there and help?!” Kyoko asked, eyes staring at the door. “We're teachers we should-
“Do what? Help them? Just how do you expect us to do that? If they attack us on sight are you going to fight them off? And if we become infected, we'll just be adding numbers to the enemy.” Shizuka explained, remembering what she learnt from Akira. “We just have to remain silent, and wait.”
“Wait? What for who!” Kyoko exclaimed in frustration. “I'm calling the police!”
“I don't think that will do anything,” Shizuka pointed as she carefully dragged the table over to the door. Making sure to not make a lot of noise.
“The police will be here in no time, it's a school after all.” Kyoko said hopefully as she pulled out her phone and dialed the police. Phone against her ear, the redhead calmly waited for the call to go through. “They'll respond in no ti-
Shizuka watched her friend stand there in shock. Kyoko's eyes were wide behind her glasses, mouth agape as if she heard the most horrific thing ever. Kyoko seemed to stand there for what felt like minutes before she brought her away from her ear and began typing frantically.
“Kyoko is something-
“I…I didn't hear that right! I'm stressed and hallucinating, that's right!” Kyoko said, sweating profusely. “My phone records my calls so maybe if I take a breath I'll hear what the police actually said!”
Shizuka slowly approached her friend. “Kyoko we should-
“Hello! Listen,” A voice came from Kyoko's phone, the person behind the call sounded like they were in a panicked hurry. “The city is on fire! People have gone insane and are attacking each other! Lock yourself in your house, don't let anyone in, don't trust anyone! We can't get to you right now! Make sure to stay in doors and keep quiet! Tokonosu is not safe-
The recording suddenly cut…
“I-I should call again!” Kyoko was in full panic mode! Hands typing away at her phone, glasses almost falling off. The call went through but this time it wasn't a human who responded.
Sorry, we are currently experiencing maintenance problems please try and call later.
“...this can't be happening,” Kyoko whispered as Shizuka quickly grabbed her.
“Come on,” Shizuka gently pulled her friend to the other side of the room. The blonde nurse then helped her to a chair. “Sit, I'm about to tell you something and you have to listen to me closely. This might just save your life.”
Kyoko looked up at her friend, panic filled eyes meeting Shizuka's determined eyes.

…
Saeko Busujima was in her element.
As undead classmates and teachers ran at her, she put them down with ease. Her bokken, an extension of her arm struck them down with ease. Crushing their skulls and watching them fall to the ground dead, again.
The extra training she got really shined because while the zombies were fast, she was faster. The strength behind every swing of her bokken was enough to put them down in one swing. And while she would love to savor the kills, she was on a mission.
Saeko had to get to the faculty room and protect Nurse Shizuka with her life. But she made sure to leave a trail of bodies behind her.
To think Akira was right.
The world really was over, Saeko wasn't naive enough to think this wasn't happening all over the city. And speaking of Akira, she could hear him talking to other people on the phone whenever he called her. He would call to check on her, asking her if she's come across anything unusual. Well more unusual than the dead coming back to life with an unnatural hunger for human flesh.
As per his orders, she made sure to be as stealthy as she can while holding a one woman war against the undead.
And even as she slayed them, Saeko couldn't but wonder how Akira knew. His lessons were very much accurate! She had questions, but for now she would go to the Nurse and protect her.
Slamming her bokken through the mouth of Zombie, the wooden sword burst out of the back of its skull before Saeko swiftly pulled out her bokken, even if she was in a hurry she still enjoyed every single kill.
A smirk on her face that no one but the undead could see.
A monster vs the undead…
