VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE!/¡CAMBIOS IMPORTANTES!

Hello my friends!

Hope that all of you are doing well. This is the most important message since I inaugurated this Patreon, just over five years ago.

As you can see, the original stories of Barbarian Chicks are about to run out, and the new ones arrive at the rate of two per year. Having other work commitments, and trying to make the quality better than in the saga of previous years, makes it almost impossible to maintain a monthly production rhythm, as in the times of the "Eros" magazine (between mid-2004 and mid-2008.)

That implies a very profound change in the Patreon. There are two stories to be published (the third one is advanced, but it will not arrive on time to maintain continuity) But starting in June the new stories will not appear monthly, but every six months.
In the Tiers of 1 and 2 there will be no changes, because the rhythm of illustrations and bookmarks is maintained monthly without problem.

But the 5s and 10s will be updated only twice a year (three hopefully, and that is my intention, if the change of study does not fail me again). For the new ones there is no problem, because there are still a lot of stories left for you to have them all. But the most veterans are already up to date and you were going to be left out for five months out of six.

My advice is to move to a lower Tier (1 or 2) so as not to lose contact and follow the surveys (which will increase). You can upgrade it again whenever there is a new story. Another option is that you move to the Tiers of bookmarks or annual illustrations. But that depends on what you are interested on.

Moreover, the future of Barbarian Chicks is guaranteed for almost 100 more pages. Tabou wants nine albums, Ef Edizioni will follow suit, Embassy has no limit, and Dark Dragon and Insektenhaus are yet to release their printed editions, but they will do so before the summer.

In addition, Patreon will cancel the "Goals" starting May. I leave you an excerpt:

‌There will be no changes to your membership, patrons, or earnings.

Although  we’re removing Goals, we’re working on a handful of new features  that’ll better help creators grow their memberships, including free  trials and marketing data insights.

‌We  encourage you to continue setting milestones in other ways, like  writing them in your About section, pinning a public post to your page,  or sharing them on social media."

Do not worry about the goals already achieved, the advantages will remain. And I owe you a short comic with Irina, I know, but until I get the new move done I will not be able to finish it. In addition, Tabou is going to publish a hardcover edition of "Wicked Legacy" (in French) and it needs a cover. And also Embassy will need one for the reissue of the second volume (in English)

Another issue: the "default" stories.

Up to this day a new comic strip was being sent every month, but now it will be semiannually. What will happen now is a reset of the list: it will start by sending comic number one by default, then number two, etc. It will only be interrupted when a new comic is released, which will be sent by default in the corresponding month. Be very attentive to this, because it could happen that you receive comics that you have already acquired!

I have yet to look at how the topic of dedicated and exclusive albums will change, for number assignment. I will update that information shortly. Next month you can win a dedicated Art Book, next week I will update you.

In upcoming messages I will give you additional details about the numbers for albums and other changes.

Espero que estéis todos bien. Este es el mensaje más importante desde que inauguré este Patreon, hace ahora algo más de cinco años.

Como podéis ver, las historias originales de Cuentos Medievales están a punto de agotarse, y las nuevas llegan a razón de dos al año. Tener otros compromisos laborales, e intentar que la calidad sea mejor que en la saga de años atrás, hace casi imposible mantener un ritmo de producción mensual, como en los tiempos de la revista “Eros” (entre mediados de 2004 y mediados de 2008.)

Eso supone un cambio muy profundo en el Patreon. Quedan dos historias por publicarse (la tercera está avanzada, pero no llegará a tiempo para mantener la continuidad) Pero a partir de junio las nuevas historias no aparecerán mensualmente, sino semestralmente.
En los Tiers de 1 y 2 no habrá cambios, porque el ritmo de ilustraciones y marcapáginas sí se mantiene al mes sin problemas

Pero los de 5 y 10 se actualizarán sólo dos veces al año (tres con suerte, y ésa es mi intención, si esta vez el cambio de estudio no vuelve a fallarme) Para los nuevos no hay problema, porque aún os quedan muchas historias para tenerlas todas. Pero los más veteranos ya estáis al día y os ibais a quedar secos durante cinco meses de cada seis.

Mi consejo es que os paséis a un Tier más bajo (1 o 2) para no perder el contacto y seguir las encuestas (que van a aumentar). Podéis subirlo de nuevo cada vez que haya historia nueva. Otra opción es que paséis a los Tiers de marcapáginas o ilustraciones anuales. Pero eso depende de que os interese.

Por otra parte, el futuro de Barbarian Chicks está garantizado para casi 100 páginas más. Tabou quiere nueve álbumes, Ef Edizioni seguirá esa pauta, Embassy no tiene tope, y Dark Dragon e Insektenhaus aún no han lanzado sus ediciones impresas, pero lo harán antes del verano.

Además, Patreon va a cancelar los “logros” a partir de Mayo. Os dejo un extracto:

No os preocupéis por las metas ya alcanzadas, las ventajas se mantendrán. Y os debo una historieta corta con Irina, lo sé, pero hasta que no acabe con la nueva mudanza no podré terminarla. Además, Tabou va a publicar en tapa dura “Herencia perversa” (en francés) y necesita una portada. Y también Embassy para la reedición del segundo tomo (en inglés)

Otro detalle: las historias “por defecto”.

Hasta ahora se mandaba el tebeo nuevo del mes, pero ahora será semestral. Lo que se hará será reiniciar la lista: se empezarán mandando por defecto el tebeo número uno, luego el dos, etc Sólo se interrumpirá la serie cuando haya tebeo nuevo, que se mandará por defecto en el mes correspondiente. Estad muy atentos a esto, ¡porque podría pasar que recibierais tebeos que ya tenéis adquiridos!

Aún tengo que mirar cómo cambiará el tema de los álbumes dedicados y exclusivos, para la asignación de números. Os actualizaré esa información en breve. El mes que viene podréis ganar un Libro de Arte dedicado, la semana que viene os pongo al día.
