Supporter Newsletter - November

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! Happy November to everyone! Is everyone excited for the upcoming Holiday Season? For now, we can all continue to enjoy the Fall as the cold slowly starts to roll in. I know that here in Florida we are getting pretty nice temperatures in the high 60s and low 70s on most days. It's pretty nice but you're not here to read about how my weather is currently so let's jump into things!

October was a pretty fun month for sure. I hope you all had a great Halloween and were able to join into some of the fun events we had going on too! With Christmas coming up, I know we have some more fun plans up our sleeve but that's still over a month away. I'm interested to hear from all of you on what you think we should do for Christmas if you have any ideas.

Recently we have started planning for our end of the year Requiem Award Show which will begin this month with nominations. Categories will range from "Best Smelling" and "Coolest Member" to "Community Sleepyhead" and the "Are You There?" award. You'll be able to nominate one person per category so make sure you choose wisely. You'll have the entire month to decide and then we'll open up voting at the beginning of December. 

Okay, let's jump into our expenses for the month of October. Please note that all of these expenses do not include any extra revenue Requiem did not spend. A majority of the money spent for October has gone towards Staff Benefits (%40) which includes staff payments, team giveaways, officer of the month, sot officer plunder passes, etc. Our monthly normal savings (%20) go towards our charity events and taxes at the end of the year. An additional expense that we always have is our Server Hosting/Design Work (%10) which goes towards our VPS, Dedicated Machine Hosting, Graphic Design, Video Editing, etc. Our last monthly expense is our Giveaways (30%) which goes to exactly what you'd think.

Starting at the beginning of next year, I'll have a new way of showing you all what we're spending our money on. Hopefully it will provide a bit more insight into what's happening. If anyone has additional ideas or would like to know a bit more, please let me know in the comments below.

Admin - Penny

Happy November!   

My name is Penny and I'm the Community Lead here in Requiem. As the months come and go I continue to build my relationship with the staff team as well as our members, run weekly giveaways, finalize details with our merch store, handle ban appeals and more. I couldn't ask for a better place to be staff and I'm very excited to see how this next month goes and even more excited to look back at our 2021 accomplishments.   

One thing that does not change is that I am here 24/7 to hear you out. Whether you have a complaint, compliment or general server inquiries; my DMs are always open. November will be filled with lots of fun announcements so make sure you keep an eye out for those. I'll be around in the chats as well as our FiveM and brand new Minecraft server so I hope to see you there. Have an amazing month and we'll talk again in December!

Admin - Spylon

Hi there! Spylon here.   

I've been incredibly short on time this month, but I'll try to give you all a short update on what I've been up to.  

Last month I announced our official transition to Figma for most of our UX/UI design. This month I made the first few steps to transfer over our brandguide (the project file itself).   

I also worked on some designs for our yearly award show. I can't reveal to much on this yet, but you might see some of this soon.   

The remaining activities can basically be summarised as some promotional assets, branding, technical configurations, administrative work for the creative team, admin stuff, and meetings.  

Let's hope my update for next month is a bit more interesting.

Admin - Mookest

Hey All Mookest here.  

Hope you guys have been having fun with all the Sea of Thieves Shrines and our FiveM server. It's been quite a month for us. I have been helping a lot with FiveM coding and assisting our FiveM lead JunkyWRX. New content is rolling into the FiveM server all the time. The RP is very funny when you see some of the shenanigans some of the players pull. I have to jump on Sea of Thieves and finish off my season 4 stuff before it's too late.   

I am still working on more partnerships for the server. I'm trying to find services that would really be beneficial to all of our members. Keep on the lookout for partnerships in our announcements every Monday. If you have any suggestions for partnership feel free to DM me straight and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Hello, PJ here.  

As the new month rolls in we have some good and bad news.  A few members of our team have stepped down due to time constraints and other priorities in life.  They will be missed and will be welcomed back if they find their way back here.  The good news is we have two more bots nearing completion and will begin the hosting processes.  One is a quality of life bot for the officers and another for users.  I look forward to seeing them complete testing and get them out the door soon.  

As always the dev team is looking for new developers and ideas so don't be shy and reach out today!  Have a Happy Turkey Day!

Hello there It's Yassinator, back again with my General Mod report.  

Over the past month I've for the most part been in the background as usual and keeping up with my daily Moderation routines but I've also been working on templates for the Server_emissary_flags and server_leaving request channels. They will all be implemented soon when the next Requiem bot update comes out.

Hey there It's Plucky. October was a fantastic month for the community as we celebrated the spooky season! We hosted a Pumpkin Carving contest, as well as a costume contest for both Sea of Thieves and FiveM. We also hosted an epic event in FiveM where our Halloween Parade was overrun by dangerous killers and psychopaths. As part of our final Halloween Event, we launched our new Minecraft Survival Server! The Event Team is super excited to be working with the Minecraft Team on bringing some awesome content to our Minecraft Section. In addition to this, we will continue to push out events for FiveM and SoT.

November brings some exciting changes to Sea of Thieves events. The Team has added two new events to host on our alliance servers - an Ashen Fortune and Emissary Extravaganza Event will debut this month. Check out the Events tab at the top of the discord to find out all of the details! We will continue to focus on community feedback, and ensure that new events are added to the pipeline!

Now with season four heading down the home straight, it's time for your monthly update from the Seas.

Earlier this month Jeefer stepped down from his moderator position and I'm humbled to follow him as a deckhand in our Sea of Thieves section, I'll give my best trying to fill the big footsteps he left in this community.

Veterans might know me from the times as an officer and I'll happily answer all your questions that may come up in the future.

Even with the current staff changes, we're on a good course towards season five, and the way there is packed with new and interesting events – so even if you haven't finished your Plunder Pass just yet, there'll be plenty of fun opportunities to do so.

Ready yourself, gather your crew, and set sail for an adventure to conquer the tides.

Go ahead and check out the events tab in our Discord, you won't be disappointed. Our Event team has been working hard to bring a variety of well-known and brand-new events to the Sea of Thieves.

Now to a quick recap of last month.

New spooky stuff has made its way into the Pirate Emporium with the mid-season update and we've seen plenty of your pirates rocking their Halloween costumes in our competition and making our Spooktober a bit spookier. 

And each and every one of them would've deserved to win, but that's unfortunately not how it works – congrats to the lucky ones! 

Good to see you buccaneers come together and embrace these community events.

I wish I could announce some game-changing new stuff, but that'll have to wait till the next season goes live. Very little has changed on the seas themselves with the last update and the Fury of the Damned event will be conquered by the time this newsletter reaches you, but the next event – as always - already waits beyond the horizon and I'm looking forward to seeing you work on your progress together in our alliance servers.

Ending October we as a community can also look back to over eleven weeks without unlocking the servers, thanks to our SoT Officers, that went out of their way to keep the alliance servers running smoothly 24/7.

Hey hey everyone! It's been a while since you guys have heard from me, but Junky is back!

The FiveM team and I have been cooking up some awesome stuff for you all in an upcoming Requiem FiveM 2.1 update! We're really excited about all of the changes and additions we have for you guys! We've run into a few issues along the way that has caused our development to be rather slow, but I can assure you guys it's worth the wait!  

The FiveM team is also restructuring some things to make development easier and smoother! So I'll see you all in the streets of San Andreas and make sure to watch out for those street racers, heard their coming with some pretty mean toys!
