So, Chapter 2 starts tomorrow, and I've only just realized that I haven't given you guys an update since I finished the script. Sorry! My bad! So, when I finished thumbnailing/writing the script, I jumped straight into Photoshop to start putting pages together. (Sorry for the ugly URLs - I haven't found a way to add them directly into posts.) http://megsyv.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Patreon-2.Pencils-2.jpg See, what I do is create all the panels beforehand digitally. Doing this early in the process simplifies a lot of things - it eliminates the possibility that I may mis-measure something and guarantees the final artwork is already at a size that's ready to be printed. This is a pretty tedious step. It took an entire day to get all 18 pages done, because I had some weird panel compositions going on. http://megsyv.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Patreon-2.Pencils-3.jpg After that, all I do is drop down the opacity on all the panels, then print them onto 11x17" paper. Then I just get to work! When I go to scan them back into the computer, the panels on the paper will disappear with some simple adjustments in Photoshop and they're ready to ink. Cool! Since you've all been such good sports, here's a preview of the final pencils for Page 3: http://megsyv.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Patreon-2.Pencils-4.jpg
