So, I have a happy little announcement to make! (No, it's not about being engaged or getting my ring back finally, it's way more interesting than that.) This Patreon page - the one you're looking at right now - was made to help me make the comic faster and at a rate that the story could progress quickly and efficiently. As of today, each page is earning $7. 100% pays for the services of another artist to flat the page (which basically means putting down the base colors that I work on top of - it's very mind-numbing and somewhat tedious work). The reason why I'm bringing this up is because for the past couple of weeks I've been working with a couple different people to try to find the person whose work I like the best. A lot of artists have toyed with the format of my Photoshop files so much that it just takes awhile to figure out where everything is once I receive the completed colors (and there's nothing wrong with re-working some things, but I'd rather nix that adjustment period entirely so that coloring goes quickly - hence the search). Well, dear Patrons, in the effort to be as transparent as possible, I'm happy to tell you that I've been very happy to work with Naomi Craig (aka SlyEagle - http://www.patreon.com/SerpentsWings ), and if she's up for it, I'll be working with her on DotL pages for the foreseeable future. Sly puts so much effort into parenting her two kids that it's amazing she has any left over to do anything, let alone her own projects. I have a lot of admiration for Sly's spirit and work-ethic: this lady has been through a lot the past couple of years - family drama, stupid schools/teachers being mean, health problems, you name it - but none of it has dampened her love for telling stories. Having her help, in addition to knowing that your money is going somewhere it's needed, does my heart a lot of good. I'm still paying a little for it out of pocket, but thanks to you, over half of the cost for each page is covered. I'm updating the Goals today to reflect Sly's rates, but I'd like to thank all you current Patrons for taking the chance to support this story. I wouldn't be here without you...!
