Black Christmas (1974) CREEPY MOVIE REACTION! FIRST TIME WATCHING

Comments

It totally made my Christmas Holiday.

Wow, I think that this was the best so far.

Wow, I didn't know this! What an anecdote :0.

Your current rating system works well I think, but you're both concerned with how *all* of your films compare. The idea of a tier list maybe is better? Also a 100 point scale (which is basically what you're using) does get interestingly finicky, so when certain films get complex to compare and you don't want to diminish one over slight details, a tier may alleviate that! Great video as usual!

I, too, watch 'The Boys Watch..." channel. As for the film LOVE IT. Creepy as hell and just really unsettling.

Fun fact: John Carpenter was a huge fan of Black Christmas, and according to Bob Clark himself, John asked him in 1976 if Bob ever to do a sequel to Black Christmas, what would it be? Bob than replied that he would have, The killer from the first one get caught, and than instituted him in a mental hospital, where he escapes during halloween. And Bob would named the film Halloween aswell.

Epic! I have been looking forward to this. Super creepy, another great job!!

Great reaction as always guys🤣. I love this movie,it"s so creepy.Did u know the director of this movie also directed A Christmas Story. He went from a creepy ass horror movie to the most wholesome family Christmas movie ever🤔.

You can do tier list. For ranking film.

The rating system is fine. It doesn't matter if you use stars, or score out of 10, or percentage, or word based ratings, as in the end you will find that you end up worrying about how you're scoring one film against another and then worry about whether you need to recalibrate your previous scores in the context of new scores lol. It's a problem that all reviewers have faced since the beginning of review scoring :) As long as you give context to your scores then it's fine - for example, if you review a very old film, you rate the film accordingly rather than judging an old movie to the standards of today's techniques, effects, etc.

I'd keep your rating system as is. I like it just fine.

David Bowman really let himself go after the Stargate sequence.

5.0/10 I‘ve tried to like this movie for so many repeated viewings in the last 10 years, but I still think it’s lame. I know it‘s considered to be the first slasher, but it is nowhere near the suspense of Halloween or the pace of Friday the 13th. For non-horror xmas movies, its definitely „Home Alone“ for me.
