I think the show is slow to reveal much about each character because Joss Whedon had planned a three-season story arc, so he probably felt he'd have more time to flesh everyone out. But River's screaming and crying does get annoying. Thank you for your sublime rendition of "Afternoon Delight." Maybe the next Live Q&A can be a "Sing-a-long with Shaun and Tom."
