Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 (1988) MOVIE REACTION! FIRST TIME WATCHING!!

Hell on earth isn't really worth watching, its very dissapointing after the first two movies. Bloodline is a fun watch though. I guess watch hell on earth for a laugh

Definitely watch Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, it's a very different vibe, but still good. Hellraiser IV: Bloodline isn't great, but still fun. It gives you the history of the box, from its inception all the way to the future (Cenobites in Spaaaace). It also has Adam Scott (Parks and Rec) playing a French guy without a whiff of an accent. The rest are pretty crap, though I thought Hellraiser VI: Hellseeker wasn't terrible (plus it brings back Ashley Laurence as Kirsty). Hellraiser VIII: Hellworld is abysmal, though it does star Henry Cavill and Lance Henriksen. I haven't seen any beyond that, because apparently they really went off the rails, and they even recast Pinhead.

The director of The Fly (the one you guys watched) is the killer in Nightbreed. And there's a typically bombastic Danny Elfman score. It's a fun little movie.

Hellraiser 3 is oooookay, but not great. 4 has some cool ideas...but it also has Pinhead in space. The rest aren't worth watching.

I adore these first two films but have only seen the third maybe twice... To me it actually has a direct to video feel, watch if you simply have nothing else to watch.

Nightbreed is another Clive Barker movie you may want to check out at some point down the line. It's quite flawed but has some interesting ideas. You've already got Candyman on your list now, which is the other major Clive Barker movie adaptation of course.

This is definitely more gory than the first one but it is visually stunning. I love how they explored the character of Pinhead in this. They do more of that in the third one as well. You guys should check out Nightbreed, it's a film based on Clive Barker's novella Cabal. Very creepy and the makeup is incredible.

I actually expected you to be a lot more grossed out by Hellbound. Maybe that wasn’t water but a G&T to keep your stomach calm? 😉 Totally agree with Tom that the film has a certain beauty to it, even though it went all over the top with the gore and was arguably one the more extreme horror films of its time. I always thought the patientsˋ abuse by Dr Chanard adds quite a bit to the disgusting armosphere. Don’t be disappointed if you’ll ever make it to part 3. It’s more of a cash grab with a „straight-to-video“ vibe. Good for a rainy afternoon with popcorn and beer. Thanks for entertaining us with all these reactions.
