I was so hoping you were going to do Exorcist 2 :)

The Evil Gimp

You guys watched the shitty version of this movie

Connor Clarey

I agree the theatrical cut looks better, but I disagree with literally everything else. Blatty's original vision wasn't ever supposed to be an "Exorcist" sequel, it was a theological thriller. The tacked-on exorcism scene in the finale of the theatrical cut does kinda work, but it feels like it comes from an entirely different film. The studio literally forced Blatty to reshoot the ending because they thought the movie would sell better as a "Exorcist" sequel. I do think the guys probably should've checked out that version first, as it's not a stitched-together version of the director's original vision, but to say it's a "first draft" is patently false. It was the only draft before Warner Brothers started thinking with their wallet.

Noooooo, not the directors cut. It's a like a early incomplete rough draft of the film. I didn't even think it could be found or I would have specified in my lobbying for this movie which one to watch. The theatrical cut is light years better. It has a very different ending. The Guy who played Father Karras in the first film isn't even in the directers version. The character of Father Mourning isn't even in this version. Brad Dourif gives an incredibly better performance in the theatrical cut. There is an actual exorcism attempt in the theatrical cut. This isn't like your typical difference between versions of a film. This is like the difference between an incomplete raw first draft of a movie and the much enriched and completed final version of the film. Wow. I am so disappointed that this dreck is going to forever taint your opinion of this movie.

Brad Dourif is so great as the Gemini Killer

I was really looking forward to you guys watching and reviewing The Exorcist 3 but I’m so disappointed that you chose to watch the directors cut instead of the theatrical release. I understand that the directors cut is usually the better version but in this instance I feel that you guys missed out on some great acting from Jason Miller who played Father karras in the original and I personally feel that Brad Dourif gave a much better performance in the Theatrical version. Maybe you guys might consider watching the theatrical release as well and then give your thoughts on which version you preferred?

I am all about the theatrical cut. It is a bit creepier and I like the end much better. Maybe watch Exorcist: In the Beginning next. If you want a real creepy, scary, & disturbing movie watch “Lovely Molly”. You won’t sleep well after.

Christian Rennie

Yeah much prefer the theatrical cut as well. Wouldn't even be fun to watch you react to this version so I'll skip. Oh well, check it out of you can.

GenEx'cellent

I am so sorry I didn't specify the Theatrical Cut in my lobbying for you guys to watch this movie but I didn't even think the horrible directors cut existed anymore. We aren't talking minor differences either. At least one different actor and a very different ending. Oh. this is so disappointing but I blame myself.

Todd Bradford

OH man the Theatrical cut is the only way to roll on this one. Ten times better film in this case.

Todd Bradford

Okay guys I really think on this occasion you should react to the theatrical cut as well. They are both very different but equally enjoyable. I would love to hear your thoughts on both cuts.

John Hales

oh man, you HAVE to watch the theatrical cut!!!!! Father Karras returns in an amazing way!!
