I am happy to be closing the book of 2022 and am hopeful for a sense of renewal and purpose for myself in 2023. A few positives in '22 included completing a 2nd Master's Degree and FINALLY beginning to learn to say "no" to things and people that are toxic. Though it's still a muscle that I need to exercise and strengthen. At 46, I am struggling to come to terms with where I thought I'd be in my life at this age and the reality of where I am. Is this the cliché "mid-life" crisis? It's weird, I'm more comfortable in my skin, but often deal with feelings of imposter-syndrome at work. I look at similar women of my age and they seem so confident and accomplished. The lyrics to Taylor Swift's song Antihero hit HARD. Growing older but never wiser, midnights becoming my afternoon, I’ll look directly in the sun, but never in the mirror....on and on. Why must Taylor Swift bully me publicly? Any-who, thanks for the therapy session, and cheers to all for a healthy and happy 2023!

This year has been a quiet one for me and I am hoping for more tutoring work in the coming year as I miss teaching after so long slogging at the sharp end in classrooms full of charismatic, moody, difficult and always interesting teenagers during my previous career. I don’t miss the stress, but it’s toooo quiet and peaceful at the moment and I never thought I would say that! 😂 Looking forward to your finale reaction very much. Of course I still hope for the best!
