Is it me or are these episodes getting better and better?! I really didn't think we'd exceed season 1 but I feel like it has!

I personally love how you compare the show to the books and question how things are going to pan out in regards to what is in the books. it is a show that is so faithful to the original works and that is something we don't see much at all so I say the more comparison the better. I paused mid video cause I could see how much these comments were effecting your reaction and I know you've already finished the reactions now and this comment is 'late' I still wanted to write something.

His comment was pretty interesting, and I’m bummed that I can’t screenshot it. If you want to find the comment to read it for yourself, it was posted by @productjoe4069 yesterday (Sunday).

I haven't got that far into reading that one but another one that I have read that is really good is "I am ACE: advice on living your best asexual life" It's by Cody Daigle-Orians (Ace Dad Advice, on youtube)

The outcome of Tao and Elle’s date is distressing, but I have to say the way the date is filmed is so clever: the shot of him sitting in the cinema watching the movie looks just like a shot out of a Wes Anderson movie (and as an aside, I agree with Elle about “Moonrise Kingdom,” which is my favorite Wes Anderson movie out of the many that I love). I think this season does an excellent job of juggling all the different characters’ storylines in addition to the main one that comes from the original comic. In this episode alone you get progress, or at least attention to, the story arcs of everyone, even when you don’t totally register that that’s the case. And I too was happy to see Joe get his moment with Olivia Coleman.

2023-08-10 15:57:03 +0000 UTCThere’s a lot of tension and awkward energy in this episode, as you said and I expect more over the next couple of episodes. In fact, knowing there’s a season 3, I am already preparing myself for perhaps no ‘happy ending’ in season 2, although hopefully, there’s going to be good communication and progress in all the relationships. The star of this episode for me is Ms Singh (?) although I also love Mr Farouk’s expressive eyebrows. 🥸 The whole last scene reminded me so much of the scene the morning after Harry’s party in season 1, when Nick comes round to Charlie’s house and tells him that he’s having a ‘full-on gay crisis’ and Charlie puts his arms around him.

I'm a little concerned, seeing the impact this show is having on you already, for how you're going to go with the ups and downs of the rest of the season. One thing they're incredible at is making you feel for the characters and bringing you into the emotion of the scene.

It is amazing how we get all these iconic moments and so much more in the series. Man I wish this would go on for eternity and we just get ever year update on Nick and Charlie's life in a fluffy season :D
