Only realising from watching this episode reaction that the guy who tackles Charlie, just before the match is called off is number 14…the same guy Harry was teasing Charlie about. Interestingly Charlie is also number 14, which I remember noticing the first time round. Even after numerous watches, it’s nice to pick up on new detail ☺️

2023-08-05 15:03:00 +0000 UTCThere are times during this - when they're running around the track and again in the first aid room - where Charlie says that he won't tell them about 'us' and where 'Isaac won't say anything' but it looks like Nick is saddened by this. It's almost as if, on some level, he wants them to know. Maybe it's just him feeling guilty for making Charlie keep their relationship a secret. I'd like to think that deep down he wants to be out and openly in a relationship with Charlie but he's just not ready yet. I love how surprised he is that all Charlie's friends have come to support him.

I seem to recall that we saw in one of the behind-the-scenes peeks with Toby that the rugby match was actually shot on a boiling hot day and the line about the rain making it too dangerous to continue the match was met with great hilarity. Things I particularly love about this episode: Darcy:’We thank you for your service’, to Imogen in the cafeteria 😂; look that says everything between Nick and Charlie as they see each other in the classroom the day after the kiss in the rain; the way Kit conveys how guilty Nick feels about asking Charlie to keep their relationship secret just with his facial expressions. And I never realised before just HOW blue Imogen’s eyes are.

2023-05-21 19:19:52 +0000 UTCThree things I love. 1 - After the Umbrella Kiss, as he watches Charlie dash back to his house, Nick’s face is full of such awe and wonder that this can really be happening. 2 - At the end of the brief chat in the Art Block doorway (“I joined the rugby team.” “Of course you did.”) Mr. Ajayi motions with his head towards Nick and says, barely audible, “Go on.” That quiet approval from the man he respects so much clearly means the world to Charlie. 3 - When Isaac “interrupts” Nick and Charlie in the infirmary, with one look he knows. He knows everything. But then, he usually does.

2023-05-21 18:56:48 +0000 UTCOne of the most fun things from this episode is not visible. In an interview Joe pointed out that Kit was wearing some sort of wet suit under his clothes because of all the cold, wet sprayed on him throughout all the takes. And Joe said Kit squeaked when he walked. 😂

2023-05-21 15:26:47 +0000 UTCIt is interesting how when the reaction videos to “Looking” (which I am enjoying) drop, I have to steel myself until I’m in the right frame of mind to watch it, whereas with these second look reactions to “Heartstopper,“ I want to watch them as soon as I can. I think that’s a testament to how much of a comfort show this is and how even the heartbreaking moments are lovely ones. There is so much that I love in this show in every episode: how Isaac is always a couple of steps ahead of everyone as to what’s going on, how Nick’s face lights up every time he sees Charlie, how Charlie is constantly supportive as Nick figures out his sexuality.

AND of course the way they looked at each other when they meet in the classroom the next morning 🥹🥹🥹
