Your videos and ideas are sharp as a scalpel, cuting through the veneer of socially acceptable norms. I have a question, but this question doesn't come as a way to disrespect, only to better understand: You seem to have an acute meta sense. But i find that when im thinking thinking about humanity in meta terms can also be exhausting, maybe alienating. What do you think?

Refreshing take, I wish I heard this a decade ago. I wonder what crits at SAIC are like today now that superfluous language is being examined suspiciously here, or if art speak is still thriving in the halls of academia. What does an ideal artist statement look like?

I just watched this last night, then I looked at some news this morning. I can't help but feel like art speak has helped lay the foundations for a lot of the liberal Twaddle that's trotted out in the mainstream, everything being "reclaimed" and "decolonized" with increasingly tenuous rationale. Just a thought

I remember being so struck by the Niki de Saint Phalle exhibit at ps1 last year for how non-artspeak she described her projects -- one of the playgrounds she designed had a press release that was just, "I wanted to make a place where children could play and dream." that shit almost made me cry!!
