Diane is working hard at her new job...
*****
Diane kept working on the memos for the bosses. There were more requests for information about various executives and employees academic work.
All women. Diane bit her lip. How many of the girls in this company had just thought they would be able to skate along without working? Or use grades that they really hadn’t earned. She shivered, remembering her meeting and how it was clear that the man behind the desk knew the job better than she did. Had studied and worked at college, so now it made perfect sense why he was behind the desk she’d once played at running.
Diane licked her lips. Still, it wasn’t fair, that Mr. Marsdon had been moved in. They hadn’t even asked her.
Even inside her mind, she felt like she was whining. Like a lazy worker who wasn’t…
Getting back to my memos.
FROM: HR
TO: Gretchen Miers, Director of Compliance
RE: College records
We have noted some discrepancies in your resume and your actual academic history. Please come to Human Resources tomorrow at 8:00 AM. This meeting is mandatory and missing it may impact future decisions regarding your position with this company.
She finished checking it for accuracy and then sent it off.
I wonder what she’ll say when she sees it. Diane remembered how Gretchen looked—oh, wait, Ms. Miers, or Director Meirs, standing on top of her position like some stuck up princess. Always wearing some kind of suit that told everyone she was in charge. Nattering on about dress codes and compliance and everything else.
But recently… She’d tried to yell at Carol, and Carol had just smirked and told her that the dress code had changed, and they didn’t need frumpy stick in the muds trying to show off.
Carol would have never said that to a man—not now, but well, it didn’t matter what Miers official title was. She was just one of the girls…
And she’d be getting email right about now… Diane wondered what she was doing. Was she biting her lip, wondering what she’d done wrong, or desperately trying to figure out how to cover up what she knew that she had done…
Stupid slut… No wonder they were calling her in. Making her stand in front of the desk, like Diane had, like some girl called in for discipline…
She shook her head, and went back to work, a little smile on her face.
The secretarial floor was big, no cubicles, letting the men in the offices that faced into it see that the girls weren’t wasting time or gossipping. There was a big sign:
“Gossip time is wasted time.”
Another reminder of why things needed to change, and a firm hand was needed… Diane sighed at the thought. Maybe a firm slap on some lazy worker’s backside, everyone else hearing their moans as they worked at their desk.
Her pussy was getting warm…
Diane shook her head. Back to work!
The dress code mandated you make yourself look attractive. And Diane had taken that to heart. She’d dumped the dowdy business top that made her look like she was going to a funeral. No, now she wore a white shirt, and short skirt that let everyone know how fit she was whenever she bent over.
Sure, it was… maybe a little bit against policy, but she wasn’t gossipping when she made certain to be bending over checking the copier just as a meeting got out and the men walked to their offices.
Little pink ribbons were tied into her hair. Along with a cut little pink tie she’d found at a totally hot boutique. Diane had never gone there before, but now… she’d spent hours browsing the things that would make her look hot…
Make up for the fact that she really wasn’t as good at this as she thought. Not as good as a man, but then, they had more work to do, and more important work to do…
And then there was another memo for her to proof and send around.
FOR GENERAL DISTRIBUTION….
All female employees should present their financial information to HR by no later than the end of business hours, tomorrow.
Diane put that one on high priority and blasted it out to the entire office. The soft music merged with the clicking of her keys as she kept working.
But even so, she was starting to worry. After all, everyone knew that women weren’t good with money…
TBC.
